Default Grips and how they determine swing paths, contact points and follow through

Curious on people's thoughts. Many people teach one swing maybe not knowing grips determine many things...Loops/backswings can look drastically different depending on grips...

First, a player must understand how optimal contact point is determined by grip. Continental - lower and farther back, Western - higher and farther forward (true on both FH and BH). Swing path is determined in part by contact point - it must meet the ball - some flexibility in swingpath in getting to the contact point.

Do grips not determine an ideal contact point...?

What are your thoughts of backhand grips, contact point with straight non dominant hand or not and follow through

Yes, different grips do influence the swing path and optimum point of contact--both of which will then influence the follow-through.

Absolutely! Just add one point - for grounders, when the racket hit a ball, it should be vertical to the court. Top spin is generated and controlled by low to high swing.
