The only difference between then and now is that I use a hybrid set-up instead of a full poly, got a little bit of tennis elbow from playing racquetball and needed to soften up the string bed on the 4D 200 Tours a bit. Still love the feel from the baseline and the net, and how arm/shoulder friendly it is (despite my elbow)! Tried out the Bio 200 Tour for about 45 minutes but didn't like the feel, it felt way stiffer than the 4D version. Definitely gonna stock up on these! |

Picked up three of these in a trade.
Wow!!! is my initial reaction. I'm really happy with my current racquet (BB Melbourne) and the 200 Tours are right in line. My serve was the biggest thing I noticed. Kick serves were effortless and topspin on all shots was great. Slice was great as well. Happy to have both in the stable. It wasn't quite as solid at net as the Melbourne, but it's not really an issue. Great Racquet. Completely different racquet that the 300 Tour. |

I haven't tried Lux polys but I did have some arm problems with MSV hex 1.18 (53lbs indoor in winter) and Solinco tour bite 17G (56lbs). I switched to Wilson NXT control (58lbs) when I had my arm problems (wrist and elbow) -- found it very comfortable and a very nice string to play with -- only drawback is its fairly expensive and probably won't last long if you are a heavy spin hitter. I have played a few thin gauge polys that I have not had arm problems with and have quite enjoyed, including the following: Golden Set Hex Poly 18G @ 50/48 Mamba O-Power 1.18 @ 56/54 Pro's Pro Plus Power 1.18 @ 56/54 SPPP 1.18 @ 52/50 Discho Black Mamba 1.23 @ 54/52

I am sorry gentlemen, but as some of you may know, I am now a Head convert. Played Dunlop from age 10 to 23, and I still own 19 2/3 Dunlop frames (one cracked, one smashed after losing in a tourney in 9th grade lol), but alas they offer nothing for my new game. It's been a wonderful time, however.

New member to the club. Found a few at clearance prices and couldn't pass up. As long as my elbow doesn't act up again, these are my new sticks.
Love the volleys I hit with them. |

Guys,
I do like this stick but I have always had issues with taming its power. I have tried various string set ups in the past 2 years but I want to be able to fully hit out with this stick consistently. I braved a full bed of (soft) poly at 55 recently but I feel like I cannot fully hit out as can be done with sticks such as the Aerogel 200, K90 or K88. Can anyone recommend a string set-up (full bed or hybrid) to deal with the above? I'm even willing to try (a rather odd) poly/poly set up. WRT my game I am a flat(ish) hitting all court player with good footwork and well developed strokes. Any thoughts/insights/epiphanies would be greatly appreciated + thanks in advance those that respond. |

are your balls going long? close the racquet face slightly.

As previously posted SPPP 1.18 or the thicker versions at around 54/52 or slightly lower tension, is a reasonably soft poly option that would tame the power somewhat.

I just tried poly at 30 lbs -- I was very pleasantly surprised -- it may be an epiphany -- if you have good footwork and solid strokes I think it is something well worth trying. Check out the low poly tension thread -- and don't go half-way. Cheers, OC

Haven't tried poly @ 30 yet, but I love full poly @ 36 in this stick! Very plush, lots of spin and control, but you do need a full swing. Used to string full poly in the 60s but have been playing sub40s for the past two years now and will never go back up.
