The meetup went off really well. It was almost a 1 to 5 pm event. Weather cooperated and we managed to get two adjacent courts to ourselves.

Next Sunday I will be playing the club Christmas tournament. I will also be playing singles Friday night, so I want to take Saturday off and run some errands. And then it is off to Honolulu till New Year, where I will be attending a clinic by the beach the day after I arrive

You guys go ahead and plan something.

Great meeting guys. Thanks for coming out. That was fun. Too bad it wasn't so much of a tennis vibe due to the rain and people not showing up at the club. I can play any day you guys are free. I have courts at my place in rancho bernardo but they are actually closed due to maintenance now. Rich also belongs to a club in RB too.
Let's try to get something going before you leave. Your dad is pretty good.

his best shot by far is the lob. he pretty much cant hit hard enough to break an egg otherwise lol

He was a good doubles player. That was the first time I've played doubles in 3 years. Ok. If my place opens up we can play there. They are nice courts.
Otherwise Rich might be able to set it up at his club. If not we also play at a high school nearby on the weekends.

I can set something up at Westwood. We just have to avoid the tennis classes that they have on the weekends, 12-3 or so. There are only four courts.

It was great to hit with everyone. thejackel's dad had great hands at the net. I hit with Off the Wall until about 5:20 after everyone else left. He also has some nice hands at the net. Got some volley practice in which I don't do enough.

Definitely let's do it again. We can play some singles sets if folks are up for it, or just hit. I'm good with it either way.

I think you could play as my guest, but it may be members only, I haven't heard. You probably will not like it. It is mostly dominated by women and lots of giggling and fun going on.

Excluding travel, I will be there from 26 to 31. On 27, we are doing one of those tours. On 26th morning, 8:30 am, I will be at a clinic in the courts next to the Hilton Hawaiian Village - where the post office, the military center, and the Hale Koa hotel is. It is being conducted by a pro who goes by "D." He will then tell me about the other days on which I can play there.

We can meet during those days at your hotel and we can hit at Diamond Head tennis center - this is where all the local tennis hotshots hang out looking for a "game". Or we can hit at Ala Moana tennis courts with Waikiki beach right next to the courts.

Your email is not working through the profile. It says you did not grant permission for anyone to send you email. Just changing your email is not enough.

I know that for sure because I was able to reach another poster here recently by email through his profile.
