As far as I know the mold never changed for the Prestige Mid. It's always been 89.5 (which is why up to the Youtek, you can use the same grommets on any of the Prestige mid models as stated by Chris from TW in the Youtek Review.) Head measures their hoops on the outside which gives a larger rating then it actually is. Such as the Prestige Midplus is actually 95, rather than a 98.

String patern have little difference on spin. If you get more spin with your prestige mid, it is because you can get more head speed with it or its weight/balance just suits better to your swing style.
