Ran into this little pro stock wannabe from Mantis while browsing:
Head Size: 98 sqi Color: Matte Black Strung Weight: 11.1 oz Strung Balance: 6 Points HL Strung Swing Wt: 299 String Pattern: 16x19 Stiffness (RDC): 60 Beam Width: 21/21/21mm Length: 27" ![]() ![]() Interesting....Any plans from TW to carry this one?

I got to hit with one of these a few weeks ago, and it was promising -- very solid and stable. The stock weight was a little light for my preference, but f course that can be fixed.
I also heard a rumor that there's a heavier version of the same frame in the works.

I really like rackets that have a solid, firm feel throughout the loop, like Tour 90's. How was the upper loop on this one? As far as adding weight, this racket is pretty much made for that.

I can't say for sure; I traded racquets with our local Mantis rep for a few minutes' of warm-up hitting before a clinic, so I was only hitting moderate groundstrokes. I don't recall any shots that felt unstable, so it's pretty likely that the upper hoop is going to do what you want. Definitely worth a demo when they come out.

I am really interested in this racket, the specs sounds promising.
Have you any comments on the comfort? I have a sensitive elbow so I.m a little worried about stiffness. I´m also interested in how it performs according to spinn. Please also se this youtube clip: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtrLjsTF7Kk Best regards Borg |

But, as others have suggested, anything that light is unsuitable without serious customization. I can never get the lead tape balance "just right," so I gave up.
They are beautiful racquets and I like high modulus carbon fiber a lot. Unloading four. Check classifieds. |

My concern with 305 is that it will be too powerful, once I weight it up.
I'm basically looking for something like ProStaff 85, at 12oz+ but with around 95-98 racket head size Can you comment on loop response on 295? Is it soft or firm?

Incongruous that this is actually 6pts head light (strung no less) at that weight. It would be as stable as a fly swatter. Great looking racquet though. I love this weight class as a platform for customization.

Specs are like a lighter Bio Max 200G.

I played exclusively with the 305 Tour for six months after making a switch from Wilsons. They are the "standard" shape (not like Head/Volkl/Prince).

I've played with leaded up Mantis 285s for a while and found the grip shape is similar to Head, maybe just a little less rectangular
