Do you think the person ranked #1 on the list is going to go pro? https://tennislink.usta.com/tourname...G8&ListType=-1

Go pro? Sure.
Actually succeed on the tour and make a comfortable living playing on the tour? Whole different story.

Evan trains at Junior Tennis Champion Center, College Park. He is #13 blue chip freshman. Evan just finished 2nd in Eddie Herr, B14. He wins by consistency. He will play a top D1 school for sure, possibly following his sister Amy to U Michigan. The top 5 freshmen blue chips are much more advanced at this point.

I know Evan Zhu and let me tell you he is one great player. Not as good as Francis tiafoe, yet.

Right now, Francis is better than Evan. They play very different games, Francis hits flat and hard while Evan is a super grinder. After Evan improves his serves and his net game (and grows another 7-8" and 50 more lbs), he will be a beast.

No I am only helping my son as his "consultant". My son practiced with Evan a few times in the summer. He never got a chance to play Francis in tournament or practice; but I watched him play 6-7 times in the past 3-4 years, most recently in Dayton, B16/L2 where Francis lost the 3rd set tiebreak to a blue chip senior.

Francis is great, but his forehand technique is strange, might get him in trouble later on. But I dunno, maybe he'll be fine

Agree! Very few top kids (or ATP pros) hit like him. He seems to hit balls with eastern grip. I heard that he hits all day long. Maybe he will turn pro in a couple of years.

The best 14 year old American tennis player may be Stephan Kozlov, who is already ranked #1,400 ATP and was asked to practice with Roger Federer at this year's US Open.
