I very much disagree. Right now it seems a good idea to focus on clay, and see how it goes on hc after Wimbledon.

The hc tournies after Wimby suit Nadal's game even less than IW and Miami. I doubt him running around 20 feet behind the baseline in Cinci will do his knees any favors.

He also has to play the entire tour or else his ranking is going to slip even further. He needs to at least try to defend his points from IW and Miami this year or else his ranking could slip even further. The last thing Nadal needs is to be constantly facing the big 4 in the quarters or semis. He'll never even make it to any finals at all much less win anything of he does.

Nadal has been remarkably blessed by draws in which he rarely faces players with the firepower to blow him off the court.

As his ranking drops beyond the top 4, he may very well be exposed to more dangerous floaters and get Rosoled more often.

Unless, of course, he somehow succeeds in his manly strategy of training to beat top players by facing nothing but draws of failed journeymen and aspiring pipsqueaks.

Speaking of humiliation, do you remember that brainiac who said Nadal would win SW19 '12, OG '12, USO '12, and AO '13?

What he needs is what he has said: to be well for Montecarlo and the rest of the clay season. And Wimbledon. It's not the moment now to risk his knees. He can see after the clay season how they have hold up and if they're in shape to play the hc slams.

The important thing is to win tournaments, not to just reach finals.

He has surely not been more blessed with draws than a certain someone else...

That doesn't prove anything:

- 2011 is only one year.

- One very low ranked player can bring the average down.

- Quoting from your link:

"Fed faced weaker opposition in his 7 Wimbledon finals. Only 2 of his 7 final wins were against multiple slam champs (both v Nadal), 4 of the 7 Sampras finals that he won were against multiple slam champs(Courier, Becker, Agassi, rafter)"

"really bad comparison. rankings were hell of a lot less absolute in 90s cos of court differences.

nowadays, player ranked 10 is better than player ranked 20 everywhere. in 90s, there were grasscourt specialists ranked 50+ that were bigger threats than top 10 claycourters. i mean tommy muster was world number 1 and never won a match at wimby

u would regularly get guys ranked in the 20s or 30s making it to QFs and SFs, beating top seeds along the way"

- And most importantly, you cannot compare a Roddick ranked number two to a Nadal, Fed or Djokovic ranked number two.

Just consider that Nadal has faced multiple slam champion (and not two times winner) in 8 of his slam wins.

LOL I pray you don't become an accountant either buddy.

Here's the facts:

Federer has won SIX MAJORS without facing a top 4 opponent.

WIM09, AO06, AO07, AO10, RG09, USO06

Federer's record vs top 4 opponents at AO = 1W and 6L

Nadal has won every major by being forced to beat at LEAST ONE top 4 opponent. Same with Novak Djokovic.

Nadal has beat 2 of the "big" 4, four times to win majors, Fed's only done it twice.

Mr.Federer has won more majors but as they say in life QUALITY over QUANTITY pal.

That Rafa is so lucky. He has all the tennis organizations and tournament directors all around the world slowing down their courts just for him, and now you're telling us that they've rigged all his draws too. He surely is blessed since he gets a different roster of journeymen and pipsqueaks to play against than the other top players get.

Well now you're hallucinating. Keep it up!

The numbers don't lie: Nadal has been blessed with lucky draws. Deal with it.

Don't forget they're hiding that he's a doper as well. Because it makes perfect sense to change court conditions to suit his game, to give him "easy" draws so that he can keep winning, but then silent ban him for doping.

LOL it's ******* logic at its finest!

Nice come back!

I like that your username is smasher08, it reminds me of a certain someone getting smashed in the 08RG final
