Default Extreme 2.0 Pro and Extreme 2.0 MP

Interested to hear from those who've played the MP or Pro or both.

Basically, the Pro is beginning to interest me but I have one major worry: the possibility of getting one that specs out at more than advertised. I've read a number of reports where discrepancies in QC, excess weight, etc, has been a major turn off for people. So...

. Anyone else had issues with their Extreme 2.0 Pro coming in more hefty than it's meant to be?

. Is it true to say the Extreme 2.0 MP is simply just a slightly lighter version of the Extreme Pro and therefore they play very nearly identically?

. Generally and re either frame, are people still really liking this now they have been out for a good while? Any outstanding pros or cons?

TIA

I am wondering about the same. The MP is lot stiffer, not sure if that is fluctuation or by design.

I play with the Extreme Pro 2.0 and a friend has the Extreme MP 2.0. Coincidentally we both use RPM blast strings at same tension. I was interested to see how similar they are so have had a hit with his racket. They feel quite different to me. Unfortunately I am not knowledgeable enough to be definitive regarding this but as well as being lighter the balance feels different with the MP. As you would expect there is a bit more power with his and more accuracy with mine. I noticed the latter as a bigger difference so prefer the Pro. Hope this is helpful.

By no means will you find the pro too heavy, it has a very light feel.

I demo'd both and found the pro a bit heavy, after hours (plural) of use. I liked/ still like the MP version; if the Steam 99S/99 or any of the new Graphene racquets don't work out, I will give this another go. I bought a used 1/4 grip when I should have bought a 3/8 grip size. Good power, the swing weight didn't bother me.

they are similar except the Pro is overall heavier but more headlite and the Mp is lighter overall, but more evenly balanced. I preferred the Mp myself, but I guess it depends on what balance you prefer. I also though the Pro felt sluggish and too heavy overall. Very noticeable on serves and volleys.

how can you predict what another person will find as "heavy"? Its all personal and very much dependant on what you are accustomed to.

p.s. I found the Pro heavy

Depends on what kind of player you are. I find the pro to be one of the lightest swinging frames for its weight. I play with 12ish oz frames tho. You may find it too heavy for your taste.

Have to demo and see

it is relatively light for a 12 oz racquet, but 12 oz. Is not "light" in racquet speak.

^^^ Cheers good TTers. Well, still not 100% sure which of the 2 I may prefer, but whichever it is I do think it has nudged the new Blade out of the way in terms of what I may want to look at next. Not convinced now Blade is for me. So... yes... Extreme Pro or non-Pro and 99s would be my top 2.

Hey Ross....my mind is made up and I will be trading my Juice for the 99s.
I played great during my week with it and it suited my game very well...no negatives for me at all.

well, I found it very light, so did my friend who hits with a 290 gr racquet, it's true that it is personal, but it does have a very fast feel to it imho.

I found the Extreme Pro 2.0 to be a very easy swinging rocket launcher with great spin. Not heavy feeling at all.

Yes, 99s is earmarked to be my no. 1 purchase for the New Year... I'll then see quite what capabilities or whatever I indeed do possess (or not as the case may be hehe) when it comes to spin.

Could you please maybe say more re how the Extreme Pro - or Extreme (non-pro) compares to J100 and 99s IYO?
