Default Cotton Strings

Am I the only one who thinks this is the next nat gut...
In all seriousness, has this ever been explored?

In theory seems reasonable to try. I guess someone could go to craft store and get a selection and give it a run. But I imagine its not durable at all. Especially if you hit with topspin.

I know it wouldn't be durable... But the next time I'm in MS during college football season, I'll make sure to grab some cotton and make 13G strings.

Using cotton twine would be the closest to a cotton version of gut right?

I'm not sure about cotton, but I'd like to see them make strings out of hemp.

Well being that guy that gets Dunlop stuff really cheap, I'm somewhat obligated to say this: Dunlop Silk.....

Echo weed trimmer line works great if you can get a thin enough guage. EXTREMELY durable, and those sharp edges literally tear the felt off the ball. Great feel too...
