I am looking in to buying a stinger and was wondering what the difference was between these two and if they are good beginner stringers? Thank You

Just get a drop weight. I don't think a beginner should go off and buy a $729 machine without knowing what there doing. Get a dropweight, string for friends and local peeps, make money, buy a new one, sell the dropweight to someone.

Buy a used machine. More bang for the buck.

Used machines are easier to make the money back off of. Like my Winn Pro i got, i already paid it off in 2 weeks.

Hmm, i looked over the website and your right. In every area theres nothing. Try posting a wanted post for a stringer. Eventually someone should show up. Or put a wanted post in the classifieds here and ask for locals only?

It took me 6 months of looking before finding a machine and I live in So Cal where machines pop up at least once a month. Denver may be a problem, but you may want to expand your search to the rest of the State.
I almost settled for a drop weight or even a glide bar machine, and had set my limit to $300. Eventually I found one, a Eagnas Flex 940 for $275, with a bunch of string.

Get a klippermate. They're under $200 and work perfectly. I just did my first job today and it went very well!

I only messed up once on the mains but not very far into the process. I took my time and they give you step by step instructions. It was easy once I got the hang of it, which wasn't long. I could probably do it again without the directions

Ok just used racketune and I set the weight at 57. Ended up at 55 but I didn't increase tension when doing knots, so that's why it dropped I'm sure. Still definitely playable!!!

Yes. When tying the knots the string will want to go back to its previous state until the knots tighten up. It dropped a couple pounds but that's not much at all. Seriously many people on this board will tell you this is the best machine for your buck and I can vouch for that so far. Perfect for a starter or moderate stringer on a budget!
