Henin, no doubt. How about that match this year with Sharapova, she bageled someone in the set but the opponent had game points in all six games, it was a real war of a set but Maria won it by bagel. That has to be a very very rare occurence, if not the only time it's ever happened.
Freaky like the time Sampras served the rocket that busted clear through Rafter's strings, in Cincy I think it was. Odd how people never mention that.

"mighty cold"...
Average days I play are in the upper 50's. ONCE, in the past 2 years, I got to play on a hot day, like 82 degrees, and promptly died. "the coldest winter I've ever spent was a summer in SanFrancisco"..... by some guy. |

LeeD, that was Lenny Bruce who said that when he took up flying without learning how to land--or maybe it was some bar pilot. You got'ta head down to the desert, that's where all the tournament action is this time of year. Happy Kwanza

Quick metric conversion (Celsius)...
50 Fahrenheit = 10 Celsius 75 Fahrenheit = 24 Celsius 100 Fahrenheit = 38 Celsius The hottest I've played was at 40 Celsius (not a full match, practice session only), I couldn't even do overheads because of how bright the sun was! The lowest was probably in the low teens Celsius. Took ages to warm up, need to move constantly. |

A well kept secret in the tennis world is that you can play in a pouring rain on those Aussie CLASSIC CLAY artificial grass/sand courts and the balls don't fuzz up. The court drains great, hardens up and doesn't puddle like har-tru. The silica sand wicks the balls dry and they are like new after five hours of playing in a pouring rain...don't tell anyone you heard it from me. The club players absolutely hate the stuff, for no good reason, want to get rid of it and turn it back into a hard court--for more bar time I suppose.

Good luck with them Anton, we'll have to wait till April as I'll be mostly down in FL and traveling till then. Good luck in the tournaments.
