I'm guessing you're trying to say Woz will just win one major. Woz is a wildcard based on her past 7 slam appearances. If she snags a USO or AO by next year that might give her added incentive and confidence to incorporate more tools to her game. But it wouldn't surprise me if she doesn't win one either. She seems too content to play her defensive game while relying on daddy and headcases to win matches for her. The good news is she rarely beats herself. The bad news is in majors she lacks the will to win matches. USO or AO possibly.

Lisicki has been an accident-in-progress the past two years. She lives-or-dies on her serve because her groundstrokes off both wings are rather suspect. She has some areas to tweak and has to work on conditioning. That said, I would give her equal or better odds of winning a major than Azarenka, as much as it pains me to say that. Wimby or nothing at this point.

Azarenka.... hmmm. This girl is beginning to torture me ala Safina. She has arguably the best return of serve now. Deadly backhand, hits deep off both wings, and has beaten quality players. Her problems are she's mentally a flake when the chips are down (too many examples to list), she quits/retires too much for my liking, she's SOFT when playing her BFF Wozniacki, tricky players like Dulko easily get under her skin (*cough*FO 2010*cough*), and for all of her shrieking she only hits about as aggressive as Jankovic or Zvonareva. She's pretty, but her style of play and her courtside manners sometimes aren't. Best bet would be the AO.

As for Kvitova, I don't really have much new to add to what's already been said here. It's still early, but Kvitova gives off this impression that you haven't seen her at her best yet. She's won Wimbledon, but I just feel she's got other elements in her game she's waiting to put on display. Very curious to see when she will improve on fast hardcourts. I hated Kvitova for beating Safina at USO 2009, but even I acknowledged her as the better player that day. She's the one in this class to keep an eye on. A contender for all four slams, especially Wimbledon.

Goerges did well during the clay season until the FO. She's got game and if she can tidy up a few rough edges she'll do better at the majors. As it is, I don't see a major yet.
I forgot I said that on another thread after Kvitova won Wimbledon.

Nice prediction.

The problem in trying to predict the results of Gen Suck is that they're all a bunch of losers. None of them are the next Serena/Graf/Navratilova/Evert/etc.

They'll be dominated by Serena until she retires and also dominated by whoever the next GOAT will be.

She won 2 slams. Considering that is the same as Mauresmo and Pierce who are on the whole better players than her, I would say she did fine.

Kuzzie is pretty much the female Safin.

She certainly played great at the 2004 US Open.

The three big hitters are so boring to watch baseline smashing of the ball all the time. I prefer to see some creative play like Maria Kirilenko, great hands good volleyer and strong at the net. She may struggle against the big hitters, but she along with the likes of Aga, Tamira and Zvonareva provide far more entertainment value than Kvitova, Pova and Azerenka. I get way better action photos of players who use all the court. They may not win the majors but they are very entertaining to watch.

Don't worry, the ball bashers don't win in the end.

Not really. Safin when he was on was almost unbeatable. Kuznetsova even at her best is still quite beatable. The 2 slams she won she certainly didnt dominate, in fact she should have lost that U.S Open semi to Davenport and French Open quarter to Serena but for Lindsay`s 2nd set injury and Serena`s 3rd set choke from 3-1, 40-15 serving up, and that was with both those ladies in mediocre form those days. Not saying she didnt deserve her 2 slam wins as she definitely did, but that 2 slams is definitely not an underperformance for her compared to others, if anything a slight overperformance. If she somehow ever wins a 3rd slam (highly doubt at this point as she looks way below her 2004-2009 or even 2010-2011 level and not a real contender anymore) she would be the new Capriati, someone with shockingly relatively speaking poor stats in general to ever imagine being a 3 slam winner, yet somehow is.

You have only described Maria there. Vika and Azarenka both have all court games, and consistently move forward.

Not sure on Peer. I forgot the last time I saw her play. Does she even care when she plays? Major letdown when she had 3 chances to crack the top 10 a while back.

I think it was after the olympics where she cited 'injuries' and decided to take the rest of the year off. She seemed fatigued and lost all of her motivation so maybe it was good to take a few months off. I guess we will see in 2013.

I know Wozniacki is non-factor but lost to Pervak ranked outside the top 100 in Brisbane in 3 sets -- 7-6(1) in the third. Wozniacki well for 2013 is still the same repugnant defensive player that she's always been -- TBH the girl has 0 improvements left in her game, she's really made the best of her extremely limited skills/talent and one ought to admit that she's the worst player to have ever ever ever taken control over the WTA.

Here's by the way the unique high-light of the match -- a 72h Piotr monologue in which includes mocking Pervak's height and demeaning her daughter from translations I've read here and around. Lol
