There was a time when I'd have laughed at you for posting that. Not any more - although I still think he'll be back.

And I don't see why this is so surprising, since Nadal and his team have agreed to a no-bandaid solutions policy on injuries, so we can only expect Nadal to play when fully healthy. And given that Nadal practically won RolandGarros2012 on one leg, we all know what Nadal can do when 100%.

I've had stomach viruses. They suck and you feel like death for a while. But you certainly don't get one and think, "well golly, I don't think I'll be back in shape over two weeks from now."

Something fishy is going on here. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think the knee is in worse shape than we've been led on to believe and Nadal is trying to mix up his excuses to give fans hope and keep opponents on guard.

Yeah, I mean stomach virus? AO's two weeks away, surely it couldn't disrupt his preparation to such a degree that he doesn't participate at all? Didn't expect this at all to be honest.

It really has been fishy all the time ever since it's gone past the USO. Yet lots of people just laugh at us 'conspiracy theorists', the facts are there and it's getting fishier than ever.

Uncle Toni said that a best of 5 tournament is not suitable for Nadal's first tournament back, and I agree with that. If Nadal as a stomach injury, then obviously he can't train as hard as he needs to for AustralianOpen2013, and hence he must miss it.

And Nadal has the perfect opportunity to win slams on clay, grass and hard-court all in a calendar year AGAIN.

And Nadal can break the Borg/Sampras/Federer/Nadal tie of winning one slam per year for eight consecutive years (he'll make is NINE in 2013).

And Nadal can break the Wilander/Nadal tie of winning two slams on each surface (with a Wimbledon2013 win and a USOpen2013 win).
I have never seen a more optimistic person than you in my entire life. Seriously, I don't think I will ever see one this optimistic ever, for sure

To rule yourself for a month because of a stomach virus. Hmm.....

Yep - got to say you I'm with you on this one. I'm far from a tin foil hatter, but this looks iffy.

That's the same thing moon-landing conspiracy theorists say. And you think we didn't land on the moon, either?

You're either nuts or not a Nadal fan.

Seriously, how in the world can you spin this as a positive thing?

Wow, I really didn't see this coming.

I never thought I'd say this but, if this is the only way well see him play this year, then bring on the clay!

No, we didn't. A few people did land, but I'm pretty sure it's not you. Stop going off-topic.

I still wouldn't go with the silent ban theory, I think what is more plausible is that his knees are in a worse shape than Nadal and his camp will admit officially.
