Makes sense. The Reebok brand is dying. Even being acquired by adidas did nothing for the brand.

Reebok now has no good athletes for tennis. They need to act fast.

from the link: Lotto Sponsor
He’ll also be sporting the new Raptor Ultra IV on his feet, equipped with the exclusive ReactiveArch technology, the first concave dynamic sole that flexes according to the natural movement of the foot. This shoe is going to offer maximum cushioning during impact forces, stability when planting the foot and reactivity during thrust.

All I got from this was "shoe instability"

good for almagro. reebok has just seemed like it's been on "life support" for a couple of years now. the last pro i could think of (other than "little nicky") who wore reebok was jj and they dropped her (or the other way around) years ago! they weren't doing much in the way of shoes or apparel so good for him!

I guess him in Reebok at Abu Dhabi is just about waiting for the new contract to come into effect in Jan 3013.

Good for Nico and Lotto. Reebok hasn't been serious about tennis for years.

It's still 2012. Come Tuesday, Señor Almagro will be wearing his new Lotto gear.

You're putting the cart before the horse. Reebok doesn't have any products for a tennis player to endorse in the first place. Reebok had no need for tennis in the last few years. It already had it's hands full with the being the official uniform and merch supplier to the NFL, NBA, and NHL. They've all but given up on making high performance shoes and are more of an apparel and general fitness/fashion shoe manufacturer now.
