First NB tennis endorsement deal AFAIK. Read NB signed Nick Swisher and Jose Bautista, couple of no-names.

NB for shoes or apparel or both? He ditched Lacoste and Nike. I wonder what's up with Nike these days....

Thanks for the info. I personally like the NB shoes quite a bit. Very comfortable.

Since when is NB in the tennis market? They make excellent running shoes but I didn't know about their tennis shoes. This puts them on the radar in a big way. Smart move from NB.

swisher and bautista are alright

If I recall NB had a long history of NOT paying athletes to endorse them. Guess this is a change of philosophy for them.

How is Bautista a no-name? Biggest home run hitter in baseball is not a no-name... Is NB a Canadian company, by chance?

Anyway, huge signing by New Balance. Can't believe Nike wouldn't have scooped up this dude.

LOVE NB getting into the tennis scene. Maybe this means more great shoe options for us wide-footers out there down the road. Was a big fan of the 851s as a pure speed shoe.

No, based in the USA with some local production of shoes.

Founders set their rule (not endorse athletes) but seems like the person from Nike changes the rule and start to endorse people.
Since they are private company no one knows they will benefit from it or not but seems like their revenues went up. Probably at the same time, they might pay more to endorsed players. Actually I like the idea (not endorse athletics) especially they are somewhat well known company.

Nike might need to pay more and more to fed and rafa until their contracts expires so nike might not have much money to spend.

Their shoes were assembled in US factories but materials are imported.

I might not surprised that NB will raise prices because of endorsements.

If they're going to clothe him, I hope they have something better than what Lacoste had him wearing, he looked like a total dork.

NB makes about 20-25% of the shoes in the USA currently......European supply mainly comes from the UK plant they have. China and Veitnam the main supply points overall - Current CEO came from Gillette and it seems to have a more aggressive position on sponsorship.
