Actually, no they don't. You read the latest interview by Hewitt which said that, and suddenly that translated to "most other players". Fact is, neither of us knows, however most players are very complimentary of him. Nevermind that he constantly wins the fan favourite and Stefan Edberg sportsmanship award (which is basically the players voting for who they like the most and nothing to do with sportsmanship). All of that shows that Federer at least manages to keep in the good books of the majority of people he interacts with. Not bad for a guy "with no ounce of class". You're as bad as the people constantly talking about Nadal's "silent ban".

No, I had heard other players (than Hewitt) say it. It was not the first time I heard it.

I think we need some examples. And there was no cross comments in the quote.

Nothing wrong with a man who keeps himself to himself.

It's probably worth noting here that Edberg was also a keep-to-himself sort of guy off the court also for the most part.

I don't recall people assuming he thought he was too good to hang out with the others in the locker-room.

Indeed, and also Hood Man is correct. Also worth noting that Federer already has a family, ofcourse he is going to keep more to himself, some things are more important that others in life!

Ofcourse I don't know why I'm bothering to write these posts, they are just going to be ignored by those who hate anyway.

Ridiculous assumptions
He was wearing a suit at home watching the VDM finals

Federer is pretty accurate about 15 years ago when he debuted.
In fact, ATP was already started experimenting with surface/ balls to slow it down a bit in 1998. Not exactly as fast as early to mid 90s but still way faster condition than now.

Nothing tennis-related has ever gone past moderately viral, so sadly probably not.
