Yeah, it is a bit like Coria circa 2004-2005

2003 Coria didn't really wear a baseball cap.

I'd love it if he comes back with a 150mph serve.

I heard Nadal's practice went badly today, and that he was missing like crazy. Pico pushed him to the limit, and when you take into consideration that Pico is playing injured yet still made it close, Nadal's chances of winning this title went down significantly.

LOL well said. Clarky21 trolling is getting really pathetic. After Nadal is over his nerves during first set of his first match Nadal probably won't even face a single break point this entire tournament.

Really? Hmm I guess it's expected since he's been out so long, he's sure to be missing many shots for the first few tournaments.

I hope people aren't expecting too much of him. Just because it's a 250 tournament doesn't mean the title is automatically his.

Seconded!

It was so great to see Rafa back on the court today and from his big smiles, it looked like he felt the same way.

Yep, it sure is time for you to pull your head out of Nadal's a** isn't it?

And he did NOT look happy on court today. He looked uncomfortable and totally miserable. I can't believe the amount of bs you spew as you look at everything through rose colored glasses.

Also, Goosehead you can stop responding to me because I have you on ignore, and rarely if ever see anything you post. Keep wasting your time if you like.

was Nadal playing left handed? ...or did you not hear which hand he was using?

The bit I saw of the doubles was what I expected of someone who has been off for over 6 months. He looked a bit nervous and under pressure but it WAS Nadal there. His serve was a bit rusty but as he progresses I'm sure it will pick up. What surprised me was the fact that he looked heavier than pictures I have seen of him - or could it have been the wonky coverage I have picked up on the web. Well done Rafa!

Yeah, he looked a bit nervous for the first few games and then started to look more comfortable and made some of his patented beauty shots, although he didn't have a lot of work because the opponents knew better and sent most of their shots in Pico's direction.

It was the wonky coverage. Rafa looks just fine and and very much the same as he's looked for a number of years. Except for that shirt he was wearing - fugly!
