will there be a "tiny url" sneak preview soon I am pretty much sold on the 99s, but am curious about the 99 as well. one thing I don't get, is why did they make the 105 with a 330 sw? Doesn't make sense. Its too heavy to be used by the intended target range. I am also a little surprised the 99's are both quite hefty sw's in the 330 range?

Chris - once upon a time, for the 2010 BAPDGT, I asked you a similar question about grip size, and you had a good answer (q: should I go down a grip size; a: no, stick with your normal grip size) - does the same apply here, or would you recommend to go down a grip size this time? Thank you.

Personally I wouldn't change grip sizes. The grip felt thin, so I felt the flare on the buttcap more than usual, but I wouldn't change from my usual grip size. Maybe some other playtesters can chime in if they feel differently.

HA - good one, ALC! I was like 'WTF?' until I re-read it again. And if there's a God racquet, why not a JC Superstar racquet!

I haven't played a lot with the 99, but I prefer the 99S. It's fun to play with because it's so different than anything I've hit before (other than the 105S, which I playtested. I prefer the 99S over the 105S, too). The most interesting thing to do was to start off with the regular 99 then pick up the 99S. The difference is immediately noticeable, and I enjoyed the lively feel of the S and watching the ball dive in when I didn't expect it to.

Question for the playtesters on the 99s:
How is this racquet with the one handed backhand? I am worried about the stiffness, plus tweener types that are powerful, stiff and require polu usually aren't recommended for players that use a one handed backhand. thanks

So is the grip being true to size pretty unanimous? or has anyone had a different experience? I seem to remember a post in a different thread where someone said they experienced the grip feeling larger than they were expecting closer to the sizes of Babolat.

Question for the TT folks: I was wondering if anyone felt any polarization with this racquet? Did you feel alot of weight was placed at the head? Kinda afraid to play with a stick with a 330 swingweight and high RA stick. Salonpa's has been part of my attire for the past couple of weeks.
Wow, image if the steam 99s comes out with a flexier version. It'll probably increase spin to ludicrous speed with ultra ball-pocket effect. This model is probably coming out in the fall. LOL.

On the racquet, the unstrung weight is 304 grams or 10.7 ounces. The unstrung balance is 32.5 cm or 6 points head light. Brittany, TW

Any idea if Wilson is expanding this stringbed to some of their other frames? No clue. But I did throw out the idea to try a 16x15 on a Blade 98. I think that frame would take to the open string pattern very well. If you see a Blade 98S in the future, just remember who brought it to you. Jason, TW

I heard from someone pretty reliable at Wilson sports tennis division that they are considering either expanding the line to offer more frames with the Spin effect technology or potentially offering it in existing rackets but it is not in process or development as far as she knew.
