Ever think of putting in a tennis court back there. No more dealing with court hogs! Just how much would it be to put a decent one there. I am talking US Open quality surface.

I'm going to guess a US Open quality surface would be upwards of 100K.
A friend of mine put in a 30K one and it's already cracking. I think to do it right would be like 50K.

Remember that you are talking about the INITIAL cost. Hard courts deteriorate and typically have to be re-done after a period of sometimes only five years, more often if you have to grade the land much (more grading, and therefore filling with rock, means more settling and shifting over time with cracking of the court resulting). Clay courts usually need one major professional maintenance a year, for several thousand dollars, with the daily maintenance being done by you.
