Since you will get as many answers as there are posters and you seem to have a good understanding of the game, take your daughter to as many college matches as you can starting now. That way you can see what is happening in the college game first hand and she/you/coach can decide if you want to bring in new parts to her game or not. Never too early to check out colleges, just do it during season so you can catch a match. Since she is blue chip, check out any D1 college match anytime you can.

Hey TCF - do you ever feel like McMurphy? I get it and so do a lot of good posters that have bailed this forum. Just sayin'.

I'm sure you know she won wimbledon but has had shaky results after that. I still love her game and think it will be a good example for your daughter.
Do you know if she put on size between and Wibledon and present?

Looks like TCF was banned.

At least we won't have to see him deleting posts every other day anymore.

"Size" is a touchy issue for women....I don't know if that's what happened. She had won some titles after the Wimbledon, I believe but just not doing that well in other grand slams.

Or bringing up the same old fight with Brad every day. It's been going on for three or four years and he's been making the same points over and over and over. Insanity man, it really is. Other than that he has a lot of good qualities.

I liked the days when it was TCF and others offering up good advice through healthy exchanges. Hopefully parents of young juniors search out advice from trusted people they know and don't rely on a lot of this given the current climate.

btw, regarding the topic that always comes up, TCF is completely right and always has been.
what are you smoking ? He blast kids all the time starting with Jan Silva , Alexa Jones, was starting on Abby but thank you he was cut short before he really got rolling on her and it wasn't going to be long before he was blasting their dreams !!
As for DB he was on him since the beginning with his D2 predictions, chicken leg comments ,not going any where failing to make money and wont !!

Let me ask TBALL2day how long does someone slam on yours before you finally strike back full force to get their attention ??

Then he says If my kid is not at the local mall being a stud "definition Male breeder" like a quarterback is then he is nothing !!!

Think about his record and attack on parents and kids and their dreams something I have not done , so please get real pal , so your not offended just my opinion !!!!

BTW tcf was not always right, not a D2 player highest recruit , would get wiped out at the big ITF events left the top Croatian player in "Tears" in the 3 rd set yes tears , No he was not always right just regurgitated info but never did anything close to what I have accomplished and thats why I don't need to blast others dreams as he did !!!

I have wish the best to all and their kids and their dreams you cant say that about him !!!

Please lets move on .

You were just as harsh as tcf in your posts. Tcf did offer good tennis insight for us here and it was obvious he knows tennis coaching. And rgwarren deserved what he got because he was a troll. Nothing to do with abi. You offered advice to all here as well. And your in deep with db trying to make a dent for american tennis. It is my opinion it takes obsessed parents to make a tennis champion.
Rg warren was all bragging and insults to others when we gave our opinion. He never gave any shred of tennis knowledge other than he is the best and noone else knows any better and we were inferior. People like him do not belong in public forums. Did you notice all the different aliases? I suspect there is at least one alias still left. He cannot help himself and will reveal his trolling soon enough if still hiding here.

Sorry OP for getting off topic.
I watched most of that QF Brisbane. Sloan put on a good show and it was a close match. She lost 4 and 3. Serena had to work hard for each point if she didn't ace or earned it easily from serves. She yelled loud c'mon and put her fist pump in Sloan 's face several times. I think it is unnecessary and agreed it was disrespectful.
She could have put the fist pump the other way and not yelling that loud. Remember she created a hindrance for Stosur because of the loud c'mom before.

The dynamics....Serena is 12 years older, multi GS winners and Sloan had nothing to lose that match. Serena acted like she was for fear of losing. She looked like she bullied this younger player (they're friends and she's Sloan's mentor). It worked and Sloan played shaky when she complained about disrespectful.
Serena tried to lighten things up at the end, like she always did after her misbehavior, saying Sloan played well and has great potential to be a GS champion.

You're spot on about the fist pumps and com'ons. Serena doesn't need to do it. But she does. Respectfully, you're dead wrong about Serena having nothing to lose. She's clearly expected to win on every level. Sloan should have not said anything about the fist pumps. Keep it to herself and within her camp and use it as motivation. Sloan has exposed a weakness to being bothered by antics that should not bother a pro. You think other pros won't try to bother her in future matches? This is the pros, it's a job not the Juniors. Pros will probe for weaknesses and they all are not just physical, the mental game is part of it. If she's going to take it personal her road to excellence will only be longer.

I don't agree with any of Serena's antics over the years. All I'm saying here is just because Sloan and Serena are friends and Americans does not mean that Serena is not going to go any easier on her in a real match. As a matter of fact Sloan should ber thankful for the beating, acknowledge she was bothered by something that should not bother her, be proud of her own effort, learn from this to be tougher going forward.
