Default Where can I hit i Melbourne during Aussie open?

Im going for the Aussie open for the first and really looking forward. Afriend has told me that it will be very difficult to find a club to hit at during the open. Im arriving on the 9th and wold love to have a chance to hit with somebody who has access to a court, local or visitor.

Arent there public courts in Melbourne where one can get lucky and find somebody to play with?

Any advice will be much appreciated!

Im a 5.0 and will hit with players of all levels even pros!

There aren't any public courts I know of in the central city or close by to arena. However there are many clubs just outside of the city where you can play. Where will you be staying?

The Albert Reserve courts are right next to you...

You can hire a coach if you want. I would also be keen to have a hit if you like?

Check the details for "Albert Reserve"

Excellent! Id love to have a hit and thanks for the graet info!

I arrive wednesday at midnight so how about thursday late afternoon or evening for a hit? I see albert reserve has a cardio tennis workout at 7 pm that i will try to sign up for. Would u be available for a hit at 5pm or 6pm thursday?? If not just let me know when. I prefer morning or late afternoon/evening so i can go see tennis during the day even during the qualy week.

Albert resere also have some group lessons at 28 AUD/hr (!) that i will look into.

Are u Australian and do u live near St.Kilda?

I grew up in Melbourne and it's really sad to to see the state of tennis there. I stayed near a nice club recently and hardly ever saw anyone on the courts.
Thank God I moved to the States or I probably would have taken up another hobby

I´m not sure how it is nowsays, but when i used to work at Albert Reserve as coach, back in 2002, Albert Reserve used to be practice courts for the Aussie Open-players. Dont know if its still that way today, but i presume so

Booked a court, emailed you my details. Call me Wednesday night to chat and confirm everything.

Albert Reserve is only open from 7pm to 10pm, as above the players use it to practice...
