In Rome for ATP BNL D' ITALIA

i am a strong 4.5 player and i will be in rome for the ATP event in the beautiful fuoro italico, the hotel i booked has got tennis courts on site and i would like to hit some balls during my stay ( between 15 to 21 May )

Which hotel has courts? In 2010 - my hotel arranged a hit at a local club; but they assumed I belonged to a club and when I arrived they wanted proof.

Everyone should go to the Rome event if possible; great city. And they start playing later than most tournaments so you can do some sightseeing then go get a day's worth of action. Walked up to a public facility - they wanted a ton for an hr hit - ridiculous.

The only negative (at least in 2010 when I was there) - they allowed people to smoke in the crowd.

i booked in Crowne plaza they have 2 clay courts, and another hotel next to it called Atahotel Villa Pamphili they have 6 clay courts ( but this is a club attached to it)

I'll be there until the 18th. Going to the tourney for at least one day, maybe two. I definitely will need to hit some balls. I'll be staying near the termini metro station. I'm also 4.5......send me a post

I might very well go, especially if there is guarantee to play a couple of hrs a day with u or other TW members. I started stuying italian two yrs ago and it is alway nice to have an excuse to go there for some great food and coffee

yes i will be there, just bought tickets for the event.

i am staying in Atahotel villa pamphili between 16 to 20 May they have clay courts there.

Are there tennis courts where ur staying or are u also counting on ash¨s six clay courts?

Ash, any latest news re courts, partners, rain delay, pasta shortage etc?

as i told you before 2 or more hours of tennis guaranteed
till now no body contacted me yet or appointed a certain date and time, so even if there are 3 of us we can still manage to make a good hit.

i extended my stay in the hotel ( arriving one day earlier ) from 15 to 20 May

i will be going to the Masters on 16th and 17th day sessions, hopefully after i hit my courts for a couple of hours.

well i had to scan the whole city of Rome on Google maps looking for a tennis court attached to a Hotel

which tournaments you've been to ? i am targeting Indian wells or Monte Carlo next year.

The list of ones I haven't been to is shorter. I like travel, I like tennis (the ATP, not the Grunt/Shriek League) - works out well. Sightsee in the AM (and play 2 or 3 times), then watch the pros in the afternoon and evening.

For a place that has > 300 days of sun, Monte Carlo, as we saw last week, can be iffy in April. So, if it's only between those 2, I'd recommend IW - awesome weather (at least during the day - nights can get cold). And it's a better venue and more fan friendly.
