Welcome to the club! The point of adding weight at 10 and 2 is to reduce flutter caused by balls struck near to top of the stringbed. If you are happy with the response of the racquet on these types of shots then don't worry with adding lead there.

I just got my two new pb 10 today and have played it. The best rackets I have had. I feel better on serve, volley and backhand. On my forehand side, I still need to do some work since I am not very used to the weight of the racket. Overall, I really like the racket. Now I need to set up my strings.

Yes. Specs are being settled after playtests in Europe and here in the U.S. I hope to hit with it soon.

How similar are the Mid and the Midplus? I demoed the Mid and loved it but the Midplus is certainly cheaper.

I demoed both and I thought that they felt like two completely different rackets. I had trouble controlling the ball with the midplus--felt way overpowered. If you were happy with the mid then there is a good chance you will not be happy with the mid.

Great raquet, but it is finally too heavy for me. I am not fit and good enough to play it. I am leaving the club, but staying with Volkl.

Guys I'm new to hybrid setups and wanted advice.

Historically I had been using full bed of MSV Focus Hex on this racquet strung at around 55lbs. Noticed that I developed pretty bad tennis elbow. Especially when I played with my tennis machine with technifibre balls.

Did some research and found out that it was probably because I was using the wrong string/tension. As a result, I have gone the other extreme and am using Babolat Natural Gut 16g strung at 53lbs.

Problem is that the movement of the strings on the mains is really annoying me and I am not getting as much spin. Also believe that Gut won't last long if hitting with pressureless balls with a machine.

What hybrid setup do you recommend for someone with my background (ie possibly prone to tennis elbow) who likes to hit with pressure-less balls with a machine now and then? Is it worth using the Hex strings with Gut or will they just rip through them? What other hybrid setups work?

I'm about a 4 or 4.5 tennis player.

Your mains are shifting and your stringbed softness is not there because you aren't stringing according to Volkl recommendations. Drop your cross string tensions 1-2 kgs.

Volkl recommends between 50-60lb. I'm stringing both at 53lb. What do you recommend?

Please allow me to join! Just got mine from TW today. I've played with POGs, Becker London Tours, PS85s, and Dunlop 300s. I've been looking for a stick with solid, stable yet head light specks. This appears to be it. Strung mine with Volkl Cyclone 18g @ 53... I'll let you know how it plays.

My coach played with this for more than three years, and he feels that strung with gut using a constant pull machine, that 53 mains maybe tight, period, but even tighter for a tennis elbow sufferer. He prefers tight tension, but even with 50 grams of lead, which plows thru the ball much more, effectively making the string bed feel softer, he was stringing at 50 Main/46.5 Crosses with gut, but his string jobs feel like 5-7 lbs tighter than everyone else's. There were a lot of players loving this frame strung with Cyclone at 37-40 lbs, which is effectively equal to gut at 40-45

It really depends on your string. What string did you put on?
