Can anyone compare the newer formulation of Cyber Flash to Ice?
In particular, which is softer/more comfortable, better spin, better tension?

Thanks

I think Ice is better at all 3.

PP, if silverstring was as cheap as ICE would you use it instead? Or is it the value/performance combo of it that did it for you?

Sorry but ICE is a very different string.

Try both, and then let us know about it...

I strung up one of my Bio 200Gs at 48lbs. I liked groundstrokes a lot, but serves were meh. But when I hit my serves in, they were absolute bombs. Just not consistent enough on serve for me.

Pfft, who cares about consistency. Bombing in big serves on both 1st and 2nd regardless of percentage is what counts!

I could hit almost every serve in on the ad side... NOTHING (almost nothing) on the deuce side... I guess that's what happens when you get sick and don't play for 2 weeks.

I suppose I should call this the "Roddick setup".

Ad side is my weak side on serving. My percentages are definitely lower. With deuce you can just slice it in out wide and it normally works fine!

I was the same way a few weeks ago. Had a gnarly cold and didn't play for 10 days. Just bad all around haha!

Ice just plays exactly how i want a poly string to play. And it lasts long enough in a hybrid as well. The spin is nasty, the feel is crisp, and the control is insane.

I am going to hybrid some up in my mfil 200 and see how that plays as well.

i strung up my Vantage VT321 with 17g of this. I played with my friend yesterday who I have been playing weekly for the last 6 months. He said my kick serve had more kick than usual.. I previously had Pro's Pro Cyber Power 17g/OGSM 16 in it. We did play on a different court than usual but both are both hard courts with the same wear...

Anyhow. I like the string. I was really getting some good control with it. We played a set of doubles of our set of singles with a couple of young hard hitting bucks. I'm 40 while my friend is in his 50's..I'll play with it more and provide feedback..

I use 17 even though it breaks faster, because it is cheap.

i played again yesterday ( in the cold and wind)... the mains were already moving after only 2 hours of playing.. didn't think it would do that.. I can't provide some more feedback on yesterdays play because of the horrible time we had with the wind...

It has a tendency to do that, but I don't find it to affect playability.
