yeah. you're right. if you even look the wrong way at most polys that are imprinted, it fades.

all joking aside, you're absolutely right. if you run the printed section of the string between your fingers, the ink either comes right off or smears.

It kind of looks NVY, but it's prob not. It's pretty likely that's it's a cheap non-branded Syn gut.

Stamina would have "Wilson Stamina" marked on it about every 6-9 inches. The N.Vy I have is a blue tint. If it's from a thrift store, probably some old nylon. Some of the older reels are larger physically than new reels. I'd like to see it up against a newer reel to compare. If it's the same size, I'd guess maybe Gosen OG Micro. If the reel is smaller, I'm going with a weed eater string.
