Default Dunlop Ice

Hi, for whoever has tried Dunlop Ice strings (preferably Chris because his play-style is similar to mine), how would you score the strings out of 100? And what were your thoughts/impressions on the core traits of the strings-- spin, power, durability, feel? How does it compare to your usual strings?

Many thanks!

Bump.

If any of the playtesters have tried Dunlop Ice, I'd really appreciate their feedback!

Sorry for the late response.

Ice is a traditional feeling poly. Nice and crisp and firm feeling, it offers lots of bite and control. I like it because it encourages me to stay aggressive when moving inside the court. I can trust that I will get the bite and spin on the ball needed to keep it within the lines on a fast swing.

If you have ever hit Kirschbaum Super Smash or Gosen Polylon in the honey color (recently reviewed), you'll know what to expect.

Hope that helps.

Chris, TW

Hi Chris,

Awesome racket reviews. One question... Is TW planning to sell this string by the reel in 17G?

Thanks and keep up the outstanding work.

Regards,

No problem and thanks so much Chris! I'm definitely gonna order some now.

Yeah db10s I've been reading your feedback on the strings and it's only reassuring for me since I'll probably buy a 17g reel when TW stocks up.

Yeah Steve, the 17g reel is pictured in the Dunlop strings, but I found the page for it. It's currently out of stock but they have a shipment coming in a week! http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Dunl...P-DICE17R.html

SteveI,

Dunlop Ice is a traditional polyester.

Thanks,

Brittany, TW

Oh! One more thing Chris, what would you rate these strings out of 100?

We currently have stock in sets/reels in both 16g and 17g:

Dunlop Ice 16 String 6.50
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/desc...l?PCODE=DICE16

Dunlop Ice 16 String Reel 65.00
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/desc...?PCODE=DICE16R

Dunlop Ice 17 String 6.50
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/desc...l?PCODE=DICE17

Dunlop Ice 17 String Reel (only one in stock right now) 65.00
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/desc...?PCODE=DICE17R

I would rate this string very high for control, spin (high 80s) and durability. It is not as comfortable as a co-poly and will not hold tension quite as well.

Chris, TW
