10 bold predictions for 2013!

1. Virginia will not make the NCAA final four this year. They will rely to much of a Freshman who is far over-ranked
2. Georgia will not make the NCAA 16. They have no-one to replace what they lost.
3. Duke will beat Virginia to win the ACC
4. Texas A&M will struggle in the SEC first year
5. Stanford will have a breakout year and be top 5
6. UCLA will win the national title
7. Peter Kobelt will have the biggest fall of a #1 ever
8. No team in the Big Ten outside of OSU will be top 20
9. Oklahoma Sooners will have a down year and Roddick will be put on the hot seat
10. ESPN will screw up the coverage of the final even worse this year

Great thread. But #10 isn't a bold prediction, it is unfortunately predictable.

Stanford having a breakout year I have to wholeheartedly disagree with. I seeing it going the other direction, quickly and deeply.

what about the women side?

there's a lot of teams with no real #1 player .. the Pac 12 is full of them...

1. I think they will make it the final 4, by then all of them should be healthy. I hope I am wrong but they are a very deep team.
2. I think they will make the great 8 but it will stop there.
3. Too close to tell. I think it will be 4-3 either way.
4. I think they will be fine.
5. I'm with Tball on this, I think they are going in the opposite direction.
6. I don't see it.
7. Nice kid but I think he will finish the season around 30.

9. I think Roddick will be fine regardless of the season but I agree the team will struggle a lot.
10. I would be shocked if they even covered it, let alone mess it up.

Interesting predictions, mine are a little less radical (and I'm biased) but I think more realistic:

1. Virginia will win the NCAA title beating USC in the final
2. Georgia will make the round of 16 but not the quarters
3. Duke will not beat Virginia but they will make the final four
4. Texas A&M will finish top half of the SEC but no better
5. Stanford will not finish top 20 this year
6. UCLA will make the final four but no better
7. Peter Kobelt will not finish ranked top 10
8. Agree as it looks like Newman is not on the Michigan roster for some reason
9. Oklahoma will finish top 10 and make quarters of NCAA's, Roddick will be fine
10. They will not cover NCAA's

1. Blaz Rola will not return to Ohio St
2. TCU will be the most improved team in the country this year
3. Mississippi will win the SEC
4. Jarmere Jenkins will win the NCAA singles title
5. Fresno St will not finish in the top 75

I will make this prediction. Both the Memphis Men and Women will finish in top 25. Memphis Men will beat Oklahoma and Ole Miss on the road. The men only have 7 players so I'll give myself the injury out in advance. The women will post wins over Notre Dame and Vandy on the road. Both will make the final 16.

3. Duke will NOT beat Virginia to win the ACC
4. A&M will be middle of pack in the SEC
5. Stanford will be top 5..... in the Pac 12 and #5 at that.
6. UCLA is a year away
7. I think @TheOtherKobe stays in the top 10 all year. There aren't too many #2s in the Big 10 that can contain the big man.
8. I'll say Michigan ends up in the 14-18 range.
9. I think OU makes it to the quarters and maybe semis
10. I doubt it'll be on TV anywhere again this year. Probably on NCAA.com only but they'll probably screw it up.

who will play #1 for UCLA ? how do you think their line-up will look like ?

is Pepperdine out for this year? if not they look really good with some new additions .. they might be the best from the west ..maybe the #1 team...

I thought Pepperdine lost NCAA eligibility, but when I reread this now it seems it just lost scholarships.....is this right? Or does probation mean no NCAAs - no soup for you! ?

yeah it looks like they just lost 1.3 scholarships this year but not kicked out or eligibility ... with the addition of Alex Sarkissian and Alcantara.. this will put them top 4 team for sure ... I like their chance to win the whole thing ...

2) Dawgie Dawg is outed by the mods and is revealed to be John Isner. This causes him to rethink his tennis career and finally decides to do something other than just serve.
3) UVA dismisses USC before the final and finally takes home the crown.
