I love these questions because you're going to get a million different answers. Half size up/down, full size up/ down etc...

Yeah its terrible. Fortunately I'm going to going to a local store to see how they fit in person! Even when you get to put them on in person you always have that moment where you don't know which fits better. Haha.

The sock-issue is also a good point and something to consider. |

Got a pair of these w/ a nike voucher and really do not like them. The Vapor 9's and 4.3's are both way higher quality. The shoes feel cheap, and are not that light and do not offer much support. The fit is also very strange and the foot sits very very high. Not recommended.

Tried them on in person.. he only had a 9 but it was clearly too big. But it wasn't too big where I felt like I might have needed a whole size down... I didn't ask him to order the two sizes so I might end up buying both and picking one/returning one. But I'll wait for some of you guys to get your pairs to let me know your opinions

Order 1/2 size down.
I have owned, oh, about 100 discrete Nike shoes in my life (i.e. not counting duplicates of the same model). Almost all have been size 10.5. The first generation of courtballistec ever made: I had to order a 10, which was consistent with Tennis Warehouse's recommendation. The Air Max Cages - the right size is 10.5, per Tennis Warehouse's recommendation. A note: nominally my feet are odd-sized, so occasionally I buy two pairs of shoes so that I have a 10.5 for my right, and a 10 for my left. So objectively, I am able to place my size 10 Cages next to both a 10 and 10.5 2K12 shoe. Objectively, the physical length of the 10 Cage is the same as the 10 2K12. So why did I size down? It's not necessarily about the physical length of the shoe, but the last and the shape. The toebox of the 2K12 is longer and more tapered than the Cage. Therefore there is length in the shoe that isn't occupied by your foot...this is somewhat hard to describe. The toebox of the new cage is more rounded in the front and wider. Bottom line, as a general rule, I agree with TW's recommendation to wear a half-size smaller than what you typically wear in Nike shoes. |

I also would get the normal size. I wear a 12 and I actually found the 12s to fit snug, even more snug than my size 12 4.3.

Oh great.. more incentive to just buy both sizes and then decide. On another note does anyone have pictures of the next colorways?

You felt that a 9 was too big, but what's your normal sneaker size? |

Think I made the right call sizing down. Pretty sure my regular size would be too big. Will know more tomorrow after their inaugural run.

1 full-size would probably be too much. US8 would be the suggested size for you probably, but of course it ultimately depends on how normal US8.5's fit you.
Did you have the Ballistec 1.3's and did you size-down on those? |

Well, after playing in them a couple times today,I am glad I went 1/2 size down. Wore them with adidas team speed socks and Jordan gameday socks, which are the same as Nike elites. I don't think my normal size would be terribly loose, but the 1/2 size down isn't too tight, either,

I'm leaning towards buying a size 8...but I still feel like buying both would be the only way I can know for sure. |

Use double socks, people. It's good for you.

No, it's personal preference. I can't stand wearing two pairs of socks for any sport. Too hot and no feel. For tennis my preferred is one pair of Nike 80% cotton tennis PEs.

Have to revise my earlier opinion on sizing down. I ordered 1/2 size down and thought the length was okay, but found myself scrunching my toes on my right foot. So back to the ballistecs I go. Good thing I like Orange.
After only wearing these for a couple of hours, hope I can sell them. |
