Quick fact: 5 out of 6 top ranked players use 100 inch head size racquets (OK, Murray supposedly uses a 98, but his previous radical pro was a 100).
We all heard about serve and volley game disappearing, and every young player wanting to be a baseliner like Nadal. Do you think it's also why pros are (or seem to be) using bigger racquets? (Yeah, I know. I heard about that guy Federer and his 90.) Personally, I use a six one 95, but sometimes I'm wondering if I'm not missing something... |

Murray for his whole career has been using the Pro Tour 630 (PT57A). Murray has only change string patterns. He went form 18x20 to 16x19. While Djokovic really uses the MG Radical MP MOLD which is also really 95 inches.

No way Djokovic doesn't use at least a 100 head size, whatever racquet it is.

Djokovic really uses 95! It's true! Don't believe the disingenuous racquet companies and the BS they promote to sell racquets.

OP, don't even try and argue about rackets with VSbabolat. You're wrong.

Oh common... this is at least 98. Anyway, what proof do you have? I know paranoing about paintjobs seem a popular hobby here, but I'd like a source confirming this is a 95, if it's not too much to ask. |

The difference in 5 sq ins and the import some players here put on it is amusing. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
If you find a personal racket of a player you want to check then you might follow this.... To approximate the area by treating it as if the tennis racquet head were an oval or an "ellipse" for which there is an area formula: A= \pi ab where a and b are half the distance across the racquet head measured where it is narrowest and widest. In other words, you are really using the formula for area of a circle, but, because an "ellipse" does not have a single "radius", instead of r2, you multiply together the values for smallest "radius" and largest "radius".

Gasquet uses an LM Instinct Tour XL, no? I believe that's a 100 headsize.

Finished 2012 with over 5,000 racquets strung. Second year in a row. Will possibly be at Miami stringing with P1 and also at Cincy again.
