Default It's Not the Same Without Rafael!

The power and the passion went missing after Rosol snaked hissing ...

We want our Rafa back again! Always Rafa! Only Rafa!
Tennis just isn't as fun without our bold, flashing, slashing, golden bull!

He isn't playing because he's got crocked knees/stomach virus/silent ban/giving others a chance/plundering ships off the coast of Somalia

And yes, it's a massive shame. Good job he's going to be back for Acapulco...

It was a stomach virus he acquired a month ago. That virus is still raging.

I think the official line from The Vamos Camp is that he didn't want to return to tennis after 6 months by entering something as intense as a Grand Slam. Which is understandable, if true. Which it isn't.

I knew his old pirate outfits would come in handy someday!

As to Acapulco...I'll believe it when I see it...and when el medico Cotorro's private blood screen is clear.

Tennis will never miss him. All champions fade away from the spotlight at some point.

Pretty soon all we will ever talk about are the new guys.

As the photo is from a presser at Key Biscayne, he was probably reacting to the following question:

Journo: Why is it so important to start your Euroclay preparation a day earlier by avoiding the Muzzaman of Miami?

Question

^^^Off topic, Speranza, but have you caught the CBS version of Holmes/Watson in "Elementary"? Lucy Liu is a bold pick for the Watson role but she pulls it off well IMO!

Is this the one with Johnny Lee Miller as Holmes? I've heard good things about it.

It's killing, LG, isn't it? I've tried to tell my GFs who have other tenistas as their Main Men that I will try my best not to mope and whine. I'm doing … okay … as long as Ferru is in the tournament, and I'm hoping Nico goes far (first time ever for that, LOL -- still blaming him for what happened in the last rubber of last year's DC final) so I can catch a glimpse or two of JCF – but …

it is not the same !!!

Ferru is in good position, but will have to get past Novak in his semi. I'm praying for a windy day, the same as we had here when he was ahead in the USO semi before they sent us all home (unfair, unfair).
