Maybe so. That's the only way he's ever going to win anything ever again.

Is Brazil going to be a permanent tournament in Nadal's calendar? If so, looks like Nadal will surpass federer's title count pretty soon... and if Nadal played it for enough years he could win yet another title 6+ times, 7+ times or even 8+ times (if Nadal plays for that long, which I think he will). This is shaping up to be one of my favourite seasons of all time.

Guys, please, get over yourselves. If you like him, then just support him when he plays. Is it so hard really?.

I'm not surprised Clarky21 isn't supporting Nadal, because Clarky21 never supports Nadal. Clarky21 is a Djokovic fan. And Clarky21 is always wrong and never right.

I'm more excited at the prospect of Nadal winning at least 7 clay-court titles this year. If that happens, Nadal will win the most titles in 2013.

I too look forward to Nadal being reduced to playing loads of minor tournaments that no other top player would consider playing

But Ferrer already plays these clay events... Its what you do if you are great on clay. Just like Dubai is what you play if you are a hardcourter.

2013 is fast turning into my most favourite season of all-time. Now that the useless GOAT-debate is out of the way, Rafa can focus on what was his long-time goal all along: kick Almagro out of the top 10, so that when Ferrer finally retires, Rafa will be the only world-class Spanish player left on tour and he will be able to go for the one and only true slam, the CYSACMTGS (calendar year South-American clay mini-tournament grand slam), becoming the only man in world history to have won it.

So you wait. And support him when he plays. My post wasn't really directed at you, but at people talking as if putting some kind of deadline.

Websters dictionary defines 'vulturing' as tennis players who play insignificant smaller tournaments to artificially boost title counts and ranking points.

I've waited long enough. And if some fans are tired of waiting and being jerked around and decide ditch him then they're free to do so.

I can guarantee all of you complainers who used to be hard core Nadal fans will still be hard core Nadal fans when he comes back and will accept whatever excuses he makes, defend him and cheer for him. Stop pretending.

They're free to do so and I'm free to say: get over yourselves. Nadal owes you nothing. Whenever he plays, you'll probably still support him... stop the whining already.

I never said I was going to ditch him, but if some fans do then they can do as they please. Not everyone likes being pulled every which way.

And fans don't owe Nadal support, either. No fans=a whole lot less $$$$. That hits Nadal where he lives.
