Do you know where that thread in which we discussed about racket tilt and below center contact is?
I can't seem to find it. |

mods must be having a clean-up as a few posts in the Oscar thread have gone too.
Be nice if they could leave a note somewhere explaining what it was that got the thread/posts deleted.

Things move quite quickly sometimes, I didn't even see the last page or so of that thread, so no idea what went down or where it went wrong.

with the ´does modern tennis exist´thread, we had a warning. i actually asked the mods to close the thread rather than delete it, because of some useful content in the thread

we need a more open and active moderation at this site.
I know a forum is not a democracy. it has house rules and if you don't like them go somewhere else. not every mod discussion must be explained publically but we at least we need to know what the mods ask for. If I was a mod here I would write open comments and warnings into the threads so that people know what to expect. we have a problem with different standards here. some sub forums tolerate a total lack of content, name calling, multi accounting and basically every internet sin while at other forums threads seem to be closed for no reason. I know moderating such a huge forum is a tough job but I do think that the niveau has to be raised. a lot of idiots here so we really cannot afford to turn off good posters with great content by deleting their sometimes pages long works, picture sequences and sometimes videos without a comment. if that continues only the "nadal fakes another injury" crowd will stay. |

There was nothing in the thread of any argumentative nature! We were doing fine with dwell times and all that. It might have been a mistake.
Mods: can you explain what happened? Was there something at the very last instant? Or did you delete a thread you did not intend to? |

^^^That's my issue with some of the decisions - the Pro Player forum sits atop the apex of all that is verbal excrement and the "debates" (which is playing fast and loose with the word) are mostly name calling and "my player is better than your player" all seem to go untouched.

Huh, really? Unless there was something I missed that was a pretty collegial (and interesting) thread.

I have to admit that I tried hitting the ball below center a little today and the results were fantastic. I was generating tons of spin and my racket was going much smoother over the ball.
However I still doubt a little that this works physically |
