Default players name displayed on TV

i never understood the mechanism under which players name displayed on TV. is it initial of the first name, or initial of last name which ever one......

for example

Bernard Tomic (AUS)
vs.
Leonardo Mayer (ARG)

i dont understand why Tomic name is displayed above the mayer name

Depends on the streamer. ESPN3 has first 4 letters of last name, CBS does the whole name(correct me if I'm wrong),

Tomic's last name and country is later in the alphabet, I'm guessing seed number? I think higher seeds are the top name.

It's just the way the draw is listed. For instance, Djokovic is the No. 1 seed and his name will be on top no matter who he plays against. Similarly, Federer, who is the No. 2 seed, will have his name under his opponent's regardless of his opponent. It's just the way the draw is listed and doesn't really mean anything. Nothing to do with nationalities or the first letter of the names.

It's always listed according to the draw. So in this case Djokovic always gets the top and Federer always goes on the bottom.

No. The surname is Li. In Chinese the surname always come first, so it's Li Na in China. No one ever calls her Na Li, and I know this because I am Chinese myself.
