Default Aussie surface

Obviously they changed from rebound ace to pelxi-cushion. But there still seems to be issues with the surface. There's been several injuries or near misses and the sound of the players moving on it is not that good. Movement seems stressful for the players; maybe it will get better as play continues...

how would it cause injuries? is it too hard, or does it have too much traction/friction?

They need to stop being cute and just go to DecoTurf II.

Serena was lucky that she didn'st seriouly sprain her ankle. I hope this will not be another Monte Carlo when two players was crippled.

I hate playing on a 'tacky' hard court!

I much rather have a little sliding/slickness built into the top layer...
