Default Is this glass half empty?

I'm not going to argue the volume of the contents - they're 50%. Half of whatever was contained inside it was consumed in a presumably rule compliant manner. But we all know that until someone tops it up, it will not feel complete.

I suspect that until someone tops YOU up, you will not feel complete.

since the glass is tapered and not a perfect cylinder that glass in the picture is more than half empty...or less than half full.

The longest match in history took over 11 hours

half of that credit goes to John Isner the other half to Nicolas Mahut!

John Isner eventually won that match and possesses arguably the best serve in world history.

Until I see evidence of someone *consuming*, the glass is half-full.

The more important question is, Is that water or vodka ? Worse, it might be a stale 7 Up.
Warm or cold ?

Straight up Isopropyl alcohol, Hood Man doesn't care if it is poisonous only that it gets him drunk.

Some people say the glass as half empty and some half full.

Others say "I ordered a coke".

half is water but the other half is air, so technically it's 100% full

The water has of course been 100% H20 since about 2002. Before then it was a mixture of 70% H20 and 30% Blackcurrant Ribena.

Due to evaporation, there is always some water vapor in the upper half and some kind of equilibrium between the vapor and the liquid due to dynamic exchange of molecules between the 2 phases. If a lid was put, true dynamic equilibrium will settle in, and there will be a vapor pressure above the liquid phase. In that case, half empty is also like full.
