I know I coined that term, at least on this forum. But I think Sammy deserves her own name to it. For all of Mauresmo's problems at RG, she at least was consistent as the Paris Indoors event. Oh and she did make a QF at RG, while Stosur hasn't gone past the 4th round at the AO. Stosur hasn't done anything in Australia save for a final at an International event quite some years ago.

Ivanović went into full on meltdown "Chairman Of 'What's Wrong With Her?!' Empire" in the second set against Chang and got breadsticked.

Then she started the final set nicely, 4-1 up.

Now she's missing the tramlines with every shot, and moonballing Chang's junior-level serve (I think I saw the speedclock show negative)

What's wrong with her?!?!?

She's managed to take the final set. Well done Ana. Jankovic next.

I didn't manage to watch this match, but seems very typical of Ana. Her biggest problem is between the ears, which is what this thread is about I guess. Winning a slam was perhaps both the best and worst thing that happened to her career.

I still think she can pull it together eventually, though maybe not in this tournament.

Popcorn tennis for Day 4! Laura Robson taking on Kvitova in the night session on Rod Laver! I'm getting up and maybe setting the dvr for that one if I have to leave for work before it ends.

I find it very hard to watch Kvitova anymore. She makes me want to rip my eyes out on the days when she is an error machine and refuses to switch up her game.

Robson v. Kvitova...interesting matchup, but I cannot see Kvitova falling in that one.

Watson could be trouble. She's also from the Hingis School of Craftiness, which isn't the type of player Aga likes to play.

Should be a good match.

Sounds like the perfect drinking game.

Yeah, Heather's a bit better but A Rad will have to be way off to lose this one IMO. She did have to save 3MPs vs Pervak.

ADJE!

There will be drama - Fistpumps, MTO's, makeup applications, wonky serves, abysmal errors, an abudance of Adje's, JJ monologues, with a sprinking of fantastic points.

This will be a beautiful disater and I hope Im able to watch it!

Drink every time there's an error/fist pump. You'll be blacked out by the 2nd set.

Agreed. I like Aga's chances to get to the semis. I expect Li to lose before the quarters. If she does, I'd say Aga's pretty close to a shoo-in. If Li gets to Aga in the quarters, I am at about 50/50.

This should definitely be a two-person or two-team game, with one side playing for JJ and the other Ana.

Are Jankovic and Ivanovic friendly. Or, are they sort of bitter rivals behind the scenes?

I get the sense that they are bitter rivals. I never see too much affection at the net or even during fed cup.

I think Ana owns the H2H as well doesn't she? That can't help things much
