Gimmie a break! Tomic barely made it past brands yesterday.

i hope roger doesn't go easy on this kid; he could do with a proper thrashing. it will be good for him in the long term.

roger in 3 with a firm pimp-hand backhand for the match-point... The press conference afterwords is going to be amusing.

Tomic nearly went to 5 with Brands LOL. Fed just warming up and still beat Davy in 3.

The REAL GOAT in 3.

by now roger already figured out tomic, roger in straight.
something like 6-4, 6-3, 6-1.
possibly tight first set, followed by routine smackdown

Tomic will be embarrassed by Maestro's sexiness.

If there was a competition in bad taste (tacky, cheesy, Barbara Cartlandy), Fed would win every trophy

And, if there was a competition in complete cluelessness about the workings of professional sports sponsorships, you would probably clean the trophy cabinet. That was some gratuitous and childish dig.

Seriously, the only worthwhile criterion for Federer's taste is the way he plays tennis.

Well, when he comes up with those... hum... fancy? fashion accessories, surely he expects some kind of reaction about them... Isn't that the whole point really? Those shoes are a good match for his golden purse

Don't act as if Nadal has never worn a pink shirt before...

Ha! Tomic did next to nothing with his service return for the entire time I watched his match yesterday. Federer won't let him get away with bunting paceless balls onto the service line. Fed in three, and I can't wait to see it.

Fed in straights or possibly 4 but could be tricky

Sigh. This may sound condescending, but trust me, it's not. Let me educate you, because you're clearly not up to speed with this after so many years of watching tennis.

(1) Most of the time, the player does not come up with those fashion accessories. The company, in this case, Nike, does.
(2) All of the time, the player does not care about the kind of reaction. The company, in this case, Nike, does.

On TV they show players working together with the company's fashion designers. They show people talking about their fashion. Maybe, this misleads you, I'm not sure. It is usually a sham, just more publicity. They say it and they forget about it. You should, too.

Someone's getting a spanking. Ain't gonna be the guy with 17 big ones in the trophy case. Bernie may win this event some day - but not for a yr or two or four.

Fed in 3: 7-5, 6-3, 6-3.
