I tuned out, and went to bed after Monfis was down 0-2 in the 3rd set, and was barely moving. It was hard to watch. I thought he was done.
Pleasantly surprised to see he survived this match. |

sure he double faulted on match points, some people either didn't see the whole game or forget that he came back from virtual death to win the match.
he was gone in the 3rd set. so many haters in here criticizing pro players while sitting in a chair |

i wouldn't want to ruin any excitement offered by monfils' comeback so far, but i think you should be warned about the next round (especially the ones who are too young to remember... or the ones who prefered to forget this terrible night at the 2009 AO)...... it's monfils vs simon again !!!
![]() ![]() ![]() who else does remember that match ?... http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showt...on#post4893325 hopefully they will schedule it on court #324, in the australian outback... allez gael ! |

How could anyone forget this match?
It's still used in some families to punish children who are disobedient.

An long interview is available on the AO website:
http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/video/index.html 30+ minutes mostly in French. Rather interesting. Sounds like he's maturing.

I think more like faking injury and acting like an idiot, tanking a set and getting a bit of luck for the win.
