I have nothing against it at all. In fact I love it when he gets into his matches like that. I hope he wins this one. I was just making the comment/comparison to the Sharipova/Williams match.

We'll see then. I'll post when he starts shouting, you should too just so we can confirm one another.

He eggs on his fans big time. Keeps them hyped up and chanting which gets inside the opponents head. Of course he only does this when he is winning which is what several people were bad mouthing MaSha for.
Hey he just broke back, looked to his box, had a small fist pump, probably said something too, but loud enough to be picked up among the cheering crowd. Does that count?

What do you people have against Baggy? He's always seemed like a nice fun guy.

Do you remember the 06 AO semi-final against Nalbandian? It was different than the MaSha match because she was destroying Venus, but after Nalbandian took the first two sets, Bags was seriously getting the crowd into a frenzy when he started coming back and it got on Nalbandian's nerves so he did it even more!

If I could hang out with anyone on the ATP Bags would be in my top 3!

No, just the opposite.

I like it! And I like MaSha's "Come on". Look at my first post in this thread. I was commenting on why people took offense to MaShas on court antics and praise other players behavior. I like to see the players personalities unless they are being a *&%$#, Which I don't think MaSha was doing but others apparently did. We all have our own preferences.

I'm afraid it just got a lot tougher for Bags. Those bookies sure know their tennis

It's not Australian Day is it?

Just kidding... a reference to the 30 minute fireworks break that Bags got after going down two sets to Nalbandian.

It's like the NBA, if you're up 20 with 2 minutes or so left, you stop playing your top guys and essentially pull the plug. Because the outcome of the competition has been decided already, no need to rub it in.

She was up a set, and a break. I understand you want to slam the door on the opponent (because time is infinite for tennis). So yeah, keep playing. But you dont need to be vocal about nearly every single winner and error when you're up a set and a break.

same but different. You rest your guys because they have more games to play. MaSha needs to stay fired up, pumped up, keep hitting great shots because she is going to need to continue playing that way in two days and for the rest of the tourney.

That's fine, but keep it within yourself, don't need to verbally express it.

Or is it more like the NCAA championship game when Alabama kept their foot on Notre Dames throat all the way to the end. celebrating every tackle even though they were obviously going to win the game.

Some players keep it within themselves (Roger)
Some players are vocal about it (MaSha)
Some players stare down their opponent like a lion stalking an antelope (Serena)

No chance in hell for Baghdatis. The only way to beat Ferrer is to actually be a better player than him, and Baggy just isn't.

Some players get their rowdy Cypriot fan base riled up!
Some players look at their mommy and daddy for approval.
