Yes all great and interesting. Can see them all being competitive if great Stan shows up. If meh Stan shows up That one is least interesting.

What makes berdych vs anderson interesting? Anderson is the most boring player on tour besides Berdych always gives him a beatdown even when he is not in form and he is in form now.

Not too excited about many of the matches today. Federer vs. Tomic should be fun, but I just can't stay up for those 7pm Australian time starts! The other half of the draw seems to be putting together some more interesting match-ups so far.

I would definitely watch the Simon-Monfils match, but those evening matches don't start until something like 3 am here

What is interesting to you apart from Djokovic and Murray getting their asses whooped and Federer winning AO?

Feds is playing night for 2nd time now - seems a bit of an advantage given how much of a factor people seem to be saying heat is?
Shame Monfils and Simon is the other night game (when we are waking up in the UK), rather than Murray, JMdP or Tsonga. I have no interest in Simon/LeMonf. |

Mostly I'm looking forward to some great matches regardless, and Murray winning would be a bonus. I find if you wish for a player to lose it can spoil your enjoyment of the tennis especially if you dislike players like the Murray's of the world who win most of their matches. If Murray wins this AO are you going to let that spoil your enjoyment of the whole tournament? Think about it? Just appreciate the tennis and the fantastic players on show no matter who wins. Looking forward to Djoko Wawrinka which could be a cracker and Fed Tomic. Possible Del Po Murray match could be a classic then the meeting of them with prob Federer and lots of other goodies. Lots to look forward to.

I wont let murray winning spoil my enjoyment if thats what you think but i will be disappointed. Its just banter alot of what is said on here I think some fans dont see it like that and take it too seriously and make loads of pro or anti threads .

Scheduling is a bit better today but I still think they're stacking the more interesting men's matches all together. Seems like they're all slated to begin around 11pm for us on the US east coast. I'm also slightly interested in Monfils vs Simon for some reason... I don't know why, because when I remember their match here from a few years ago it was one of the most boring matches I've ever seen.

Hopefully Monfils doesn't show up today and try to out push Simon. He needs to look at James Blake and Petros Sampras and how they used their athleticism and speed to attack rather than make crazy circus shots.

I'm a bit confused because I'd like Del Po, Federer and Murray to win but they all have to meet before the final. Obviously Murray trumps all.

Nobody can "outpush" Simon. It's a physical impossibility
Simon is the huge favorite against Monfils. He's very patient and he is much more consistent. |

I know monfils will win this match 100%. As far as sets it could be 3 but knowing monfils it will be at least 4. |

Rod, it's a 150 percent guarantee Monfils loses this match
He can play as good as he wants, then brain goes out to lunch. |
