I'm not following TW a lot lately but it might have something to do with Thundervolley being banned along.

yeh. sugarpova is a shrieking banshee who takes ALL the enjoyment out of watching a tennis match on TV or listening on headphones.

In legend, a banshee is a fairy woman who begins to wail if someone is about to die. In Scottish Gaelic mythology she is known as the bean sìth or bean-nighe and is seen washing the blood-stained clothes or armour of those who are about to die -- Wiki
shriekapova and her screaming sisters preside over the death of taking pleasure in watching a tennis match ... hope she gets what she deserves ... and that's not the final of any tournament ever again!

She doesn't deserve it. Plain and simple. Because she has ruined watching by her hindrance screaming for hours when her opponent keeps her out there.

She has lots of Gas. She has to scream in order to mask the sound of you know what when she sometimes releases as she hits the ball.

K so I've been mad about this ever since I had to turn off her match tonight (in which Venus was also screeching) .... gotta admit you made me laugh!

Thanks!

See, how in your Avatar, she is like trying to hold it in but she can't and has to let it go. if she doesn't screem, then 3 billion people in the world will hear it. and what will become of her Sharapova perfume sales and not to mention Sugarpova candies.

true ... BUT ... when I think how she screams literally on every stroke, then it would seem she'd go shooting off around the stadium like a punctured balloon if you're right ... regardless ... the idea makes me laff

Did you see there's a new Russian player named PUTINtseva?

... lol ... born in Russia, of course, but changed representation from Russia to Kazakhstan in May 2012.

Pova wins if Serena goes out before they meet, otherwise I don't think so.

I actually felt the kiss from Maria last night I had my vision. That trophy is so nice when I held it too, she let me hold it for little bit

She'd still have to get past Vika and I don't see that happening.

Marie seems to win slams when everyone else is injured or otherwise out of it.

I'd love to see Aga rule them all!

It would be very refreshing to see someone who doesn't just try to crush the ball all the time walk away with the trophy this time. Will still have to root for Ivanovic in the next round match because I can never not root for her, but if Ana fails to take down ARad, I'll be going for Aga all the way.

Venus' first serve completely through her rhythm off, not to mention her UF errors.

The Venus of a few years back is not the same Venus of today. I'm still of the opinion Sugarpova cannot get past Serena's serve and groundstrokes. We shall wait and see.

When I first saw this thread, I thought no way will Maria ever take this title. Then I watched her beat Venus last night. It was part Venus not playing well and part Maria not letting her play well. She was scary good. I've never seen this Maria! Now I understand the hype. If she plays like that against Vika or Serena, she very well could take the title. I hope she doesn't, of course. I hope she plays at this level and Serena plays just a little better for an epic quality final. I'm going to start visualizing it now.
