Please help, thanks

Mantis Comfort Synthetic if you don't mind a string that breaks in 3-5 hours.

This one is the softest. Babolat Xcel and Pro Supex Maxim Touch 17g round out my top 3 softest strings.

How long does the biphase realistically last in a Babolat Pure Drive 100 when used as a full bed?

I tried to use it as cross string with Tour Bite in Mains and it lasted 2 days.

17g multis won't last long if you are a string breaker.

I believe most people would want string to last more than two days worth of playing And realistically how many hours can somebody play in two days?
maybe 6 at most.

As easy on the arm as natural gut? You may not want to hear this, but it's going to natural gut.

Premium multi's like NRG2 or Bi-Phase are a distant 2nd unfortunately.

Plus you can get high sniffing the chemicals . Aside from X1, NRG2, Xcel Power, I vote for Kirschbaum Multi Touch, an underrated multi that is second only to X1.

I'd suggest being willing to give 16g a try and go with Gamma Professional. Even the 16g version of it is softer feeling than any of the other 17g strings that were suggested so far.

Gamma Asterisk is also pretty soft.

Am wondering how much time does a full bed of natural gut last compared to a multi under similar playing conditions?

For me, natural gut lasts about 2x as long as the most durable multis (ex. PPA, RIP Control) and 3-4x as long as multis that are average or below in durability (ex. NXT, MCS). Plus, natural gut is strong enough not to break prematurely on one of my shanks. Your mileage may vary depending on your style of play and your racquet.

I had Mantis Comfort and Wilson natural gut 16 in two of my rackets at the same time. The softness is the same but the power level of the gut is way higher especially considering that Mantis Comfort is very low powered.

Natural gut lasts as long for as the most durable multis.

Strings that are easy on the arm AND durable? That will be tough to find; probably Head RIP Control 16, or Intellitour 16. Soft and durable, with a dead feel and low power.

Honestly, the Pure Drive is not going to be easy on the arm, and any string choice is not going to change that fact too much. Plus a soft string in that racquet is going to break fast.

The best thing for the arm are racquets that are over 11.5 oz and with a flex around 63 or less.

I've tried full gut in stiffer racquets that are 65+ flex and it still bothered my arm, while I can put full poly in my 58 flex racquet and not have any issues.

Having tinkered with every possible string type and hybrid, over the span of multiple frames with varying string patterns and stiffnesses, I have found that racquet stiffness and weight are going to affect arm health more noticeably than string type. Changing string type has more effect on ball trajectory and ball feel.

Just my 2c
