Yeah, there's really nothing wrong with this. Oftentimes you can see cyclists doing the same thing during a race. It's not like they're sitting around drinking 5 cans of soda with a bag of potato chips or something...

He's obviously not as serious as other players who have been in the top 10...

I imagine Monfils knows what works for his body by this point. :P The guy is a top athlete and has been for years. If Coke gave him cramps or was otherwise seriously detrimental to his performance, I think he'd be aware of it by now.

Different things work for different people... there are reasons why certain things are recommended and others discouraged, but at the individual level, those rules don't always hold true.

Did you see what he looked like at the end of the match? What Simon looked like?

Oh, and some of those triathletes that do that...they collapse at the end.

Pro cyclists often drink coke for energy

LOL I brought this up in the match thread yesterday.

No wonder his fitness is so lame.

You can put off the crash by drinking more.

Lay off the name calling.

You are not going to justify this whatsoever. That kind of garbage for high level athletes to be at their best is wrong...period.

And let's get back to tennis. What do Federer, Djokovic, and Ferrer have on changeovers?

Or Murray, or Nadal?
