I can't agree with you there. That Armstrong was doping doesn't mean that people who said he was "obviously doping" had a good argument. they just happened to be right. Doesn't necessarily say anything about their reasoning.

Sometimes I wonder when I see how quickly accusations that are a true blight on the sport are thrown around here instead of acknowledging something positive about the game's best players.

Sheesh.

Would it be better of no one ever said anything and just sat back blind, deaf, and dumb to what's going on right in front of our faces? What good does turning a blind eye to the obvious doping problem in tennis do for the sport because eventually all of the skeletons are going to come falling out of the closet anyway. I think it hurts tennis more to ignore the problem than to be active against players blighting the sport with their cheating and doping.

And yes, Armstrong fans did and STILL defend his clear as day doping. His actions have hurt cycling badly. Do you people want to see tennis end up just like that?

Fitness is one thing.. Energizer bunny, unlimited endurance is another
Not a fan of Djoker' in the least... I'm just surprised how quickly here things turn to accusations of things that would truly damage the sport, by people that love the sport. He's the best in the game...he's supposed to be able to do this.

I guess I prefer to think my sport's biggest stars are clean and they just pit the work in.

Butthurt Nadaltards are still upset that Djokovic beat peak Nadal 7 times in the row. That's why this thread exists. Also they hate the fact that Djokovic took over from Nadal as the fittest and mentally strongest player on the tour.

What's damaging the sport is the rampant unchecked doping. People who are skeptical of the superhuman stamina of certain players who could barely finish long matches in the past should not be scolded, or shamed into thinking they are damaging the sport. I want a clean sport, and right now, we do not have that.

And if everyone kept quiet like good little fans, Lance Armstrong would probably be out there still winning titles. Someone had to speak up and cause the talk to spread in order for cycling to do anything about their massive doping problem.

But your reasoning is completely spin-tastic. You treat the "obvious" doping problem as if it's a given. Why, because a guy has better fitness? This guy didn't wallow in mediocrity for years and then suddenly rise to the top echelon of tennis. He has been supremely talented and in the top three or four since he was twenty years old. I need more than the fact that he can now handle five setters before I rip on my favorite sport. Sorry, it's not "obvious" to me and I root against the guy any chance I get.

Not about keeping quiet and being a good little fan...it's about having a real reason for a charge of that magnitude. And in Lance's case there was TONS to go on. Fact. And in the end, that is why he was brought down. You can throw around hyperbole like "superhuman" stamina, but in the end he has simply improved his fitness to the point where he can now utilize the incredible gifts for tennis that has always had and that we have witnessed for years.

The only really bizarre thing about Nole is that he used to be unable to finish matches in the heat because of his breathing issues, and now not a sign of this remains.

He improved his fitness to the point of which that every malady he ever had is totally gone, so that he can now outlast everyone with ease in the span of one month's time at the end of 2010? You do realize that he ended 2010 the same as he always was before; tired and out of breath. How do you suppose he fixed all of his fitness/health issues in such a short amount of time the way he did in order to go on a nearly 50 match win streak in the beginning of 2011?

And aren't sudden jumps in stamina and endurance after an entire career of lagging behind in those areas enough to raise questions? Why are people so quick to accept being spoonfed garbage from these people who have everything to gain by lying about being doped to their eyeballs?

And why is Cvac against the biological passport? Why has he not been blood tested in 7 months? I guess I should just stay in line and keep my mouth shut because I might be harming the sport by talking about the obvious doping going on. Unbelievable.

He wasn't tired and out of breath because of inadequate fitness. There is no evidence for that whatsoever. Something happened but it wasn't simply improved fitness.

Is it his job to tell them when to blood test him? If the powers want to test him, let them. Murray was b*tching about testing.
Have you had a look at his body lately?

He may be fresh for the next one, but matches like this are career-shortening.

You can push the body to the limits but its resources are finite and the result is an earlier retirement.

It's rather obvious something fishy is going on. You can't ignore the evidence and it all adds up. Just because there is no proof doesn't mean there isn't something going on. And how can there be proof? ATP has everything to lose with the doping being exposed and nothing to gain. This is not the first time a governing body has lied to protect its top stars.

Djoker didn't become superhuman in a month. You can choose to believe what you want, or actually use your head and not have blind faith.

A. Djokovic did way more running than murray did in that match
B. Murray would have lost in straights. It is all but impossible to play 5hrs of that kind of tennis followed by nearly 6 the next day.

He is clearly doing something that massively improves stamina. If it's legal, good for him, but i suspect it's not.

But they do not do enough testing; It is not strict enough at all. They have got to up the blood testing and test winners as well as losers after matches. They should also start the biological passport, and test players with sudden increases in stamina. More out of competition testing and more frequent testing in competition should also be done. They should also expand the drugs that they test for such as HGH and several others. The lax testing allows players to dope with impunity.
