Where I live several people hit 8 hours in two days ( 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening each day) or even more....

Subjectively, I thought MCS was softer than Klip Legend. Pacific Classic was a closer comparison. I'll give the edge in softness to Pacific Classic, but not by much. |

I'm using a poly/syngut hybrid, in a pretty dense 18x20 pattern. I don't break nearly as much as I do with open patterns. That being said though I get roughly 8 hours of a string job. I rotate my sticks so that I'm not constantly restringing. Every hour of play I try to remember to switch out my racket so that I'm getting 40 hours (sometimes more or less) of play before breaks/restringing. It works out pretty well for myself at least! -Fuji

MCS or Pro's Pro Hitec Multifibre is about as soft as it gets.
Low-powered and somewhat fragile. At least in open patterns. I'd not skip a beat putting it in a Prestige or Radical, or any other 18M tight pattern frame.

Yep, agreed, MCS in a 90, 18X20, for a flatter hitter is feel and joint nirvana. Btw, a hybrid of MCS and Head Fibergel in the crosses is delicious - a softer yet dynamic feel as the Head settles in...

Interesting, I found RIP Control to be a little bit on the stiffer side for a multi. Natural gut may feel better than MCS to some just because you can hit the same ball with much less effort due to the high power level.

Mantis Comfort Synthetic is about as comfortable as one can get next to gut. Even more, because it isn't so high powered, you can get away with lower tensions making it even more arm friendly. I tried it at 23kg or about 51 lbs in a PK Ki 315 and it played just fine. 24kg or 53lbs is perfect for me.

I actually liked K-Gut quite a bit. I wouldn't say it's stiff, but a comfortable crispy string.
Still though, I think no synthetic come close to gut.

Agreed. Stay far, far away from K-Gut if you're looking for a string that's easy on the arm. It's VERY stiff for a multi. Even stiffer is K-Gut Pro. Run as fast and as far away as you can from K-Gut Pro if you want an arm-friendly string. I thought it was stiffer than some polys and it gave me tennis elbow very quickly even as just a cross with a soft multi main.

If you need a soft string that is durable you may want to try Tec TGV16 or NRG16. We use that string here when players have arm issues as they are very shock absorbent. Durability is good due to the thicker gauge (1.32mm) Cheers, TennezSport
