One thing's for sure. If Federer and Murray make the semifinal, this will be the greatest 5-setter they have ever played. I foresee an epic.

I get the feeling it would be a good one...

A British tennis website was reporting on the difficulty of Murray's draw earlier today. I laughed.

When it's time to play Federer and/or Djokovic, that will no doubt hurt him. I personally think that having it so easy makes it more challenging at the end. Going from playing relative journeymen to Federer and Djokovic over night is a huge step up. |

It might not work in Andy's favour. He still likely has Roger and novak to face. His run to the semis could Hardly be easier though.

I must admit.Except a bit of his match against Simon,i have seen no matches from him.All his match were pretty much scheduled in the early day in Australia(which is middle of the night for Europe).
And all the coverage i`ve seen, live or replay has been mostly of the night sessions. It will be interesting to see,if he gets to the semis, how he will play in the night session on RLA.He has not played any night match there so he certainly needs to adjust. |

His game is still ultra boring since he's basically a pusher with variety. To be honest I don't want to see his matches unless he's playing the top guys. It's not fun.

Federer for instance has had a nice progression through, the players he played were never going to beat him, but Tsonga and Raonic are great matches to prepare for the challenges ahead. Murray will likely be going into matches with Federer, and hopefully Djokovic, under done. As a fan that worries me. |

It's strange. When the draw was made I would've put Djokovic down as the easiest draw, yet he's the only one of the big 3 to have been challenged in a match (v Wawrinka). I also think he now has the more difficult QF opponent in Berdych. Funny how the draw has panned out.

Edit: Isn't that little person in your post a bit old to be F1Bob Batz. You can smell his fear and panic, and other moronic posters, as the posts get nastier and more hysterical as Murray advances. You can do a scientific correlation of stress, bigotry and hate from Round 1 through to final.

What I like most about these threads is the notion that Murray has done something wrong because either he has a relatively easy draw or the seeds he is due to meet fall by the wayside. Like any of those things are within Murray's control.

Well, for that matter, who really wants to see ANY of the top guys unless they're playing each other? Where's the fun in seeing even Fed or Djoko destroy some low ranking oik? None of their matches promise to be really interesting until they play against each other!
