I have Djoker in four tough sets.
Something like 6-7 7-5 6-4 6-4 |

It looks like a tough victory, I doubt it

This. 3 or 4. Ferrer's ground game is much more solid than Berd's, so in that sense, it will be more challenging for Djoko but Ferrer's grinding is too limited to break down Djoko's amazing defense and do it over a long period of time. Also Djoko's offensive skills are superior. The more talented player will prevail. Wawa just played the match of his life and Djoko was lucky to weather the storm but I feel he will be focused and clutch for the rest of the tournament. |

Poor Ferrer. He advances to another Grand Slam semi in which he probably won't advance. That's no slight on Ferrer either. The guy deserves a Slam final appearance, heck a Slam title period, for the impressive consistency he's shown on tour. He has pretty much done everything that a player can do playing in an era like this.
I could be wrong, though. I do know that one day, like Ivanisevic, Ferrer will have a dream run to a Slam final and win!

Guys who are predicting Ferrer didn't watch the match last night. Absolutely dreadful performance.

Down the line: He has consistency but not the brilliance. You should need more than consistency to win a slam.

Hmmm something tells me Djokovic struggles past in 5......dunno why.....let's see if Ferrer can play some lights-out tennis like he did against Nadal in AO2011.

Well, after that match between Waw and Nole everything is possible, but Waw has a big serve and great backhand, Ferru doesn't

he is a cute little small boy. what do you expect ? and he has that racket with no power. I think he would play much better with Babolat Aeropro or puredrive racket that has some more power.

3 or max 4 sets and Novak will wrap it up.
Ferrer won first set in US open due to windy conditions. This one is more suited for Novak and he will run through his opponent. Had Berdych pushed Novak to 5 sets, I would say Ferrer might have taken Novak to 5 sets, but he still cannot win it! |
