Default Is there a way to buy a actual Federer Racquet?

I mean one he's used in a match. He goes through a handful in a match, I'm just wondering, my son would LOVE to have one, anyone know what happens to those racquets?

Charity auctions. Other than that, good luck. Your son is gonna have to live without one unless you're willing to spend an arm and a leg for one.

There is a guy on here, FabFed who owns a few match used fed frames. I would expect they would fetch somewhere from at least 15-20k each. So good if you even have that sort of disposable cash

Oh, I assume you expected one for $199 + 30% premium?

Step 1: Get in good with the P1 guys.
Step 2: Buy a retail PS90.
Step 3: Beg the P1 guys to customize it just like they do Fed's and tell them you're willing to sign a non-disclosure if necessary for them to make it happen.
Step 4: Play with it.

Would anyone really sell a match used Fed racquet? I personally would keep it as a hang up...

I don't think they would do it.

Good plan but replace Step 2 with: Buy a K90.

Two options:
1. Buy it at some charity auction or some auction these GS do these days. (US open i think does it)
2. Somehow find a way to bump into Federer and then ask him

Steps to success:

1.Just buy a retail frame
2. Change to a white grip
3. (optional) Pay $$$ to customise it to his spec
4. Tell your kid you spoke to Roger's agent and he sent one to you for free

Now you can be the best dad in the world, but its just up to whether you can have that on your conscience

Maybe have your son write an earnest fan letter and hope for the best.

Good points.
I am pretty sure Fed plays with retail Pro Staff Tour 90, customized by Nate Ferguson.
Actually my first racket which I grew up in tennis with ^^

i would rather have a broken/smashed one, from Federer, Safin, Baghdatis, or from a few others.

i suppose these cost more than the ones that are stilll functional.

i wouldn't want to play with a Federer-like stick. I prefer something that is customised for my style.

I really doubt Federer play with a racket you can buy, that K90 felt like crap compared to the older pro staff 85 which was already worse than vcore 89t, I think he plays with something that is a lot better than retail racket.

Well it is impossible to be sure, but there are indications to the opposite. But it is a long discussion, that has been taken a lot of times, so perhaps you should do a search if interested.

Is the throat of the K90 longer than any other six.one tours?

If I remember correctly, they changed it from the N90 to the K, along with the string spacing. Since then the throat length has been the same, I believe (actually it is the pallets being shorter afaik).
