Djokovic in 4. Ferrer is capable of getting a set the djokovic is playing but won't be able to capitalise

Ooh yay! My favourite two players! (Or at least the ones who can get to the SFs: RIP Simon). I'm going to follow this thread.

Djokovic in 3....4 if Australians put a wind turbine on court.

i voted Novak in 5, then he rips his t-shirt, because i want to hear the press and the folks online go on and on about how wonderful it was to see such a marathon match and how much these guys are such athletes.

Any of you guys actually going to watch this pushfest in it's entirety?

Yes I am because it isn't a pushfest, and it's also not a whack the ball really hard so I can impress message board people either....like Dog for instance, or Dustin Brown.

This isn't Simon/Monfils. These guys strategize shots.

Yeah, because Djoker, in 14 matches against Daveed, has one set of 6-0.

Not happening.

Ferrer took ages to close an injured, limping Almagro. He does have a strategy, it's called grinding the opponent out until you get an error or he fails to return your rallyball. He even pushes his backhand with his left hand halfway up the throat of the racquet.

Novak might try to do something for the highlight reel or on match point if and when he has a high enough lead in a set or in the match.

It's just their style, I'm not knocking it's effectiveness. It works, but is uninteresting apart from the odd rally unless they play someone with a markedly different style who can deal with their game i.e. Tsonga, DelPotro, Davydenko, Federer, Raonic, Nishikori, etc...

I'm a big fan of Ferrer's game, dude is relentless, and plays so hard, but he should have lost to Almagro if not for an epic choke job.

I can't see how he beats Novak. I think this will be a rather routine win for Novak as it has been recently.

But don't you see how he does it? Crosscourt, crosscourt, up the line, up the middle, crosscourt, drop shot, wait and volley?

This is Simon and Monfils.

Forehand, forehand, forehand, forehand, backhand, forehand, backhand, backhand, forehand....all in the middle of the court.

What's the point of this thread. Djokovic in 3 is the only rational response.

I foresee a dramatic upset; Ferrer will defeat Djokovic in five hard fought sets while producing the greatest match in tennis history.

Jokes. Djokovic in three

I hope Djokovic wonders into this match battered and bruised and sick. This gives my man Ferrer a small chance of winning.

Seeing as how this really should be Djokovic-Almagro (or some might say Wawrinka-Almagro...), I'd expect Djokovic to take this in straights.
