After Novak gets less able to run down every single shot, it will happen eventually, it will become about skill. After set 6-7 they'll both be playing like elderly versions of themselves.

Novak has little vs. Federer if you take away his ability to run down shots and his athleticism advantage. Fewer weapons at that stage and less able to play with touch.

The point of this thread was actually this, for me. Djokovic obviously has more stamina but that will run out, eventually. The 4 sets will be even, Djokovic will be favored in the 5th, 6th, and 7th sets, but then he'll tire out. Federer will have tired out by the 5th set. So after the 7th set, both are essentially tired out. Then it becomes game of hitting winners and playing first-strike Tennis. Wouldn't Federer be favorite then? Or would Djokovic, with slightly more juice left in him tough it out? I would like to see this match just to know what would win out.

Djokovic in 11 but either due to a "lucky" shot at MP in the 11th or a bad call that Fed doesn't challenge on BP.
